My case was atypical -- we got married WHILE he was in immigration jail awaiting voluntary departure with safeguards. My case was sent to local office b/c they wanted to interview me but the officer working my case saw we had a baby together and RFE'd me for her birth cert (I couldn't get it signed b/c he was in immigration jail when she was born). I sent it in but it never hit my file so at my infopass, a day after my deadline to get the evidence back, I was able to HAND the officer her birth cert. He approved it 3 days later

Made my first call to the NVC. I called at around 11:30AM AEST.

Took 13 minutes to get through, and they told me the case was physically at the NVC but no case number had been assigned. They told me the case had been there since August 8th. Cool.

Hi Saylin, you mention in your FAQ to ask the operator for the IIN once you receive your case number..

..however under the LingChe NVC ShortCut wiki which you also link to, it states that..

If they tell you that you have a case number, you ask them for the Invoice Identification Number and they will give it to you. Also, they will mention your email address...you just make sure to give them the beneficiary's email address as well.

My wife (beneficiary) can't get her immunization records. I see that an antibody titer is an option.

1.) Should we do that before the interview/medical or is that part of it?

2.) Some of the immunizations (Hepatitis B and Meningococcal) on the 18-64 instructions page say 18 and under and 11-18. Does that mean a 39 year old does not need those? Seems so but double checking.

The FAQ is accurate. People in this thread are still able to get their IINs from an operator. Some of them refuse to give it, but if you get the right operator, you can get it. Thankfully, I was able to get mine from the first operator.

1. I suggest getting it done ahead of time as I'm sure it will be much cheaper than getting it done at a panel physician.

2. Nope, a 39 year old would not need those two vaccines. Still good to have just in general, but not needed for the medical.

I asked this before but think it got lost in all the post. But for paystubs is the most current one all thats necessayr since its "Year to date". Or do they want all currently for the year or what?

If it has a year-to-date amount, then you really only need the latest one!

I thought so but goodness in this process assumption can get you in trouble (or RFE). The first patsyub was an actual check since Direct deposit didn't kick in. The next one has the voided check on it so do they want to see the whole kit and kaboodle or just the stuf minues the check. (sorry so much questions I have nothing else to do since NVC wants to keep delaying my case#).
