NVC Filers - August 2012

I'm curious if anyone has attempted giving the NVC just one email address that is shared between the petitioner and beneficiary? Has anyone tried this? Any advantages/disadvantages to having just one email?

You want two..even if it is only your first name and last name @ anyemail.com for both of you. But email should come from the beneficiary's email address if he/she is sending the electronic DS-3032. You cannot make yourself and agent of the bene's case. The spouse has to do this.

Saylin or any other experts :help:

I sent my DS-3032 Email 6 days ago and no reply yet.

1. How long has it been taking to receive confirmation, (approval/rejection)?

2. And can resending the email a week later cause delays?

my plan is to wait 2 more days, if no word from them we will resend.

(it was sent from the beneficiary's email address)

It's currently taking 1-2 weeks for NVC to get to the emails, so you need some patience with this.

Will sending another DS-3032 delay YOUR case? No. But you're just going to clog up NVC's email servers, which delays EVERYONE.

Did you receive a auto reply? I sent it on Aug 11th and received a auto reply.

How long does it take for the AOS and IV fee bills to show up in the payment portal?

AOS is invoiced a few days after case number is assigned. IV is invoiced a few days after the DS-3032 is accepted and added to the case file.

1. Mine and several of the recent NVC filers had about 6-10 business days.

2. Resending wont cause any delays, but unnecessary if you received the auto reply - which means it is sitting in their inbox and no agent got to it yet.

Yes I got the auto reply right away, it would be good to know what the average time is now.

If you look at some timelines from the past, it only took a couple of days. It's been 6 days and no word yet. Maybe I will re-send the email.

but it would be good to know if this will delay anything?

Just wait for couple of more days. Resending the email wont delay your case.

Made my first call to the NVC. I called at around 11:30AM AEST.

Took 13 minutes to get through, and they told me the case was physically at the NVC but no case number had been assigned. They told me the case had been there since August 8th. Cool.

thank you Saylin, I made a post about the same subject without knowing you got back to me.

sorry about that. after hearing what you said. I would wait 2 weeks plus before I would think about re-sending the email.

anyway, I sent the I-864 package in today and feel good about the outcome.

We will not have the police certificate until the 2nd week of September so I guess the delay on NVC getting the email will not really mater.

Hi Saylin, you mention in your FAQ to ask the operator for the IIN once you receive your case number..

What do I do after my case number is assigned?

Get the IIN from an operator (ask for the 'Invoice Identification Number', not IIN). Give over the email addresses of the beneficiary and petitioner. Email the DS-3032 (from the beneficiary's email address) following the template linked above.

..however under the LingChe NVC ShortCut wiki which you also link to, it states that..

It is no longer possible to obtain your IIN from an operator. It will be included with the directions to pay online when your AOS Fee Bill is generated. If you have already given NVC your e-mail addresses this will be e-mailed to you.

Which one is accurate?
