When my wife went to the ASC in Merida, they didnt give her anything and then after the interview they did not give her anything either for DHL, now I did register a DHL location when I set up a ASC appointment

Is this normal

I dunno about Mexico, but I didn't get anything related to courier service either at my interview. I signed up for DHL beforehand as well, and found out through that site when my visa/passport arrived at one of the DHL locations. I then had to pick it up there. But this if for Canada, not sure if it's the same for Mexico.

I wish someone could confirm this is 100% true even if you are self-employed.

What is needed in the AOS package?

Generally, the following is needed:

With no joint sponsors:

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Cover letter (optional)

- Completed, signed, and dated I-864 form by petitioner

- Tax information* of petitioner (either just the last year OR the last 3 years)

- Employment letter of petitioner (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)

- Pay stub(s) of petitioner (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)

With joint sponsors:

- All of the above of the petitioner

- Completed, signed, and dated I-864 of joint sponsor

- Tax information* of joint sponsor (either just the last year OR the last 3 years)

- Proof of US citizenship/residency of joint sponsor (ex: copy of US passport, US birth certificate, US naturalization certificate, or front & back of green card)

- Employment letter of joint sponsor (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)

- Pay stub(s) of joint sponsor (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)

If the joint sponsor is a household/family member, also include proof of that relationship (example: if a parent is a joint sponsor, include the petitioner's birth certificate with parents' name on it to show link).

*You have two choices here of what to send in:

- Tax return transcripts ordered from IRS (preferred by NVC and of most consulates/embassies) RECOMMENDED

OR

- Tax returns (1040) and W2s and any other schedules (if applicable)

Okay, I will call :bonk:

And yes, IRS Transcripts include all the Shedule C information.

I'm not completely knowledgeable with those that are self-employed, so take my advice lightly. On your tax transcripts, does it have the information from Schedules C, D, E, or F? If so, then it seems like the tax transcripts would be sufficient. If not, you may have to include your tax returns with those schedules. You can try calling the operators and asking a bunch of them about this and take the majority of their answers. If you do this, please, please, please, do not just call once. Operators' answers differ greatly at times.

a. Petitioner's Documents-Form I-864, Affidavit of Support

Under Section 213A of the Act. The petitioner in family-based

immigrants, or the employment-based immigrants where a relative

filed the petition or has ownership interest (5% or more) in the

petitioning entity, or a joint sponsor must complete a Form I-

864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act.

(1) All pages in correct order.

(2) Each page filled out completely.

(3) Part 7 signed by the petitioner or, for employment cases, by

the relative) (not required to be notarized).

(4) Photocopy or IRS transcript of the most recent federal tax

return with all supporting schedules that the sponsor had filed

prior to the time of AOS signing. The return must have all pages

in the correct order.

(5) If you did not have to file a tax return, attach a written

explanation and a copy of the instructions from the Internal

Revenue Service publication that shows you were not obligated to

file. (For information on most income tax obligations visit the

IRS website.)

So it says, with all supporting schedules. Well.... the IRS trancripts include all supporting schedules!

so I guess, no need to include separate schedules becasue they are included in the transcripts.

It's been confirmed by a NVC Superviser.

The IRS Transcripts is all you need even if you are Self-Employed!

Hello All,

Slowly reading through this thread (will now be a daily read once caught up). Just called the NVC as suggested in the second post in this thread.

They confirmed they received the case from USCIS on the 10th August and let me know it is 10-20 business days for it to be entered.

Is there any point calling regularly for the Case Number? (The FAQ says daily from around this time on)

Would it be entered faster than 10 business days?

Yes, the case number can be assigned tomorrow. And as soon as a case number is assigned, you want to be giving over both email addresses. This is important so NVC will email you correspondence(takes a few days) instead of snail mailing correspondence to you (which can take a few weeks). But, if you don't mind taking your time through NVC, then by all means, don't call at all.

I'm curious if anyone has attempted giving the NVC just one email address that is shared between the petitioner and beneficiary? Has anyone tried this? Any advantages/disadvantages to having just one email?

Saylin or any other experts :help:

I sent my DS-3032 Email 6 days ago and no reply yet.

1. How long has it been taking to receive confirmation, (approval/rejection)?

2. And can resending the email a week later cause delays?

my plan is to wait 2 more days, if no word from them we will resend.

(it was sent from the beneficiary's email address)

Did you receive a auto reply? I sent it on Aug 11th and received a auto reply.

How long does it take for the AOS and IV fee bills to show up in the payment portal?

Not necessarily, I only called once per week and received my Case number and Invoice Identification Number in 15 "business" days. After that, each piece of the puzzle has taken approximately one week from step to step (see my time line below). I received case complete last Monday (August 6th) and I am now awaiting my interview date. I have not heard any news of this yet. I've called NVC 5 times total...today will be the 6th day. Now I'm just waiting again.
