Yes they had my email address on file. I guess they are getting them form the G-1145 form. Thanks for all the help.

Yup, that's where they'd get the petitioner's email address yes.gif

Tax Transcript Question :help:

On my Joint Sponsors Tax Transcript, is the Total Income the amount to put down for the tax year on the I-864A form?

or is it the Adjusted Gross Income? and

there are many other types of amounts on this transcript! it't drive me crazy! :bonk:

It's completely dependent upon what tax return form they filed. Was it the 1040 or 1040EZ? (It says somewhere on the tax transcript).

If they filed the 1040, use total income.

If they filed the 1040EZ, use adjusted gross income.

CASE COMPLETED FOR MEEEEEEEEE kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

Hey guys, I haven't posted a lot but I've been following this thread since July to find comfort that I'm not alone in this emotionally draining process. I just got off the phone with NVC and found out that my case was completed yesterday! I'm smiling now but don't want to jinx it just yet because we're still waiting for our interview date. I'll light off the fireworks when my wife crosses her POE and receives that magical stamp.

I can't thank you all enough for all the valuable information provided on this website, my journey for sure would not have been so smooth if not for all of you sharing your experiences. Especially to those senior members and organizers who are still here guiding us, my hat off to all of you for everything that you do.

Good luck everyone!

So its just you and your husband (or wife sorry) You are just at the guideline a few humdred above. To be safe you should secure a sponsor and have them do the co-sponsor and either send in with yours or send yours in and see if they ask for a co-sponsor. With being unempoyed last year its really a toss up .

Those are the supporting documents for the AOS package. You'll also need the I-864 to go with that.

Then there's the whole IV package you're skipping, which involves the DS-230 and supporting documents. There's a list of documents for both packages in post 2 :)

Ok I found the post, pls bare with me on these questions,

So this is what it says for the immigrant visa application (IV)

Generally, the following is needed:

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Completed, signed, and dated DS-230 form by beneficiary So I need him to fill it and send me by mail the orginal in ink signed or can it be a scan and sent email???? mail is going to take a few days coming from Nigeria. ..

- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY- Ok so he can just send a colored copied of birth certificate and hold on to orginal for interview, because it took a couple of months for him to get the actually birth certificate. I don't want it to get lost in the shuffle or what if he needs it for proff in Lagos at his interview??

- Original police certificate(s)- What is this? not the police clearance???

Am I getting everything right.

ok next question,

I had present for my tax transcripts a month ago for the last 4 years. I just tucked them away for this part of the journey.. I just open them and realized I did not request a transcript for this Years filing :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: so I have 2010 back to 2007. I still have my folder from doing my taxes with the worksheets and w-2's and 1090 so may i send them or just send for another transrcipt. It will take about 3 days for me to get it.

Ok next question.. I think I might be reading some of the posts wrong, but is the process to wait till I get the letter stating NOA2 and here are the request for AOS and IV??? or am I to start calling them and asking do you have me in the system and send the documents any way? Because here is what I was pondering from the first two posts pages of info...

When (and how often) should I start calling NVC about the case number?

Wait at least a week or two from your NOA2 date, then start calling. And call every single day afterwards until you get it.

Do I have to wait for NVC to email me instructions before mailing packages?

NO. If you wait on NVC for this, it can take WEEKS to get anything from them. As long as the respective bill appears as PAID in the payment portal, you can send in your package.

???????????????????????

You're a K1 visa applicant and everything you're reading has NOTHING to do with your case. You're in the completely wrong forum... The forum (and thus thread) you're in is for IR-1/CR-1 applicants. Please go to the appropriate forum here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/80-k-1-fiancee-visa-process-procedures/
