I am going to be responding to the checklist and will be sending my packet this Friday.

I know NVC is closed on a Saturday, but does mail still get delivered to them on a Saturday? What if I request signature confirmation?

Is there an advantage to getting the packet delivered by Saturday?

no one is there to sign mails.

deliverer will leave a notice to the NVC or try to deliver again on Monday.

A medical so soon? I thought it had to be done just before the interview?

There are some countries in which you can do advance medicals. As soon as the first piece of correspondence has been received from NVC (that contains the beneficiary's name and NVC case number), then a medical can be booked. Most countries don't allow this though and have to wait until AFTER an interview date has been assigned and they have their interview letter in hand.

Yeah. I called them back and spoke to someone who was.. a bit more experienced.. haha. I explained that I'm probably 3-4 weeks from having an NVC case number and she suggested I cancel, and wait until I have an interview date before coming in. They are pretty quick so she said no point being proactive with the medical, they may lose it at the embassy before otherwise (apparently not uncommon).

I used the template provided in step one as is and am now waiting on case complete. Everything pertaing to my beneficiaries case has come to me. NVC extracts the information they need to process the requests. I guess the rest they just pass over. I had no problems.

I concur. I, and many others, have used the template from the first post without any problems. No use reinventing the wheel.

Like others have said, just use the template linked in the first post. As long as you have all the important information, it'll be accepted.

I'm not sure why you're making such a big deal out of the USCIS/NOA receipt number. Just include that along with the NVC case number. Everyone here has followed the template and gotten their DS-3032 email accepted.

Hi guys, I apologize if this was asked earlier, but I am confused about something. I called the NVC today and got my case # and invoice ID number. I also gave them my husband's email address. The woman I spoke to said that I would be allowed to pay 20-30 business days from today. I was like: Whaaat? since I thought that most of you paid your fees online 1-2 days after receiving your case #. I hadn't heard of 20-30 days before, so I just wanted to ask if this is correct or not... or when I should attempt to pay.

In case it matters, to give some perspective, here are my dates:

-June 28 (NOA2)

-July 16 (NVC received, but no case # yet)

-Aug 7 (finally obtained case # and invoice ID #)

So now I need to wait until September to attempt to pay??? :help:

The operator you spoke with was off her rocker. That's completely incorrect. Your AOS will be invoiced in the next coming days. The IV bill will be invoiced a few days after they accept your DS-3032 (need to email it, remember!) and add it to your case file.

Called NVC.

NVC Told us that Our case is COMPLETE & being approved for expedite processing. Now they told us that if it is An expedite process they will not schedule an interview date instead they will send pur case right away in the US embassy/consulate ('manila) & we will be the one who will call our embassy at manila for an interview date (our case is CR1)

Is this much faster?

I'm a bit lost as to what to do next...

A few days ago I paid the AOS fee and today the website says "PAID." My wife has emailed the DS-3032.

Here's where I'm at now...I've completed the I-864 as well as the letter stating I plan on re-establishing U.S. domicile and how I will go about doing so (along with supporting documents). All of that will be mailed to my wife tomorrow and will take a while to get to her since it will have to go from Afghanistan to the U.S. to Thailand. Once she gets everything, she'll mail it all to the NVC.

So, a few questions...

1. Does she need to complete the actual DS-3032 form and send that with all the other paperwork, even though she already sent the email regarding the DS-3032?

2. Do I need to include the AOS receipt with the paperwork I'm mailing to my wife so she can include it with the stuff she's mailing to the NVC?

2. Once the NVC gets the packet my wife sends them, what do I have to do? Do I need to call them for anything? Do I need to check the on-line payment website daily to see if IV processing fee has been invoiced?

My timeline was last updated on 29MAR2013.
