You can see in my signature the time between getting my NOA2 and receiving my NVC case number. They sent it to me in an email, so I didn't have to call them, although I've read a lot of posts recommending to call the NVC daily to get the case number.

You got exceptionally blessed. Your case is not the norm. I was approved 6/29 and lost for 30 days. Daily calling a service request back at USCIS found me and immiediately sent me to NVC 7/27 and I was recieved at NVC 7/30. 31 days later. :help: Than you will get 15 business days to get a case#. Some get it soonest, some not. Doesn't hurt to call.

As for me if I didn't call daily my case would probably still be sitting in a box at CSC waiting for someone to send it.

Hi all.. We just got approved last August 3.. Any idea when does NVC will give our case number. My hubby will start calling them today.. (Monday on his place) thank u

Grats on your recent NOA2! kicking.gif

It's currently taking NVC around a month from NOA2 to assign a case number. So I'd say hold off on calling for about 2 weeks. Around the 2 week mark, then you should be calling NVC once a day to see if a case number has been assigned. Good luck!

While you're waiting, please go back to posts 1 and 2 as they're chalk full of information. Start getting the AOS and IV packages together now while you have the time.

Good luck for her interview!

And NVC is pretty much the same this month. Still taking around a month for case numbers to be assigned, a week for DS-3032s to be accepted, and a few days for bills to be invoiced.

IV packet got delivered to NVC this morning. Hope they will finish reviewing it in time for their 'supposed interview scheduling week' for this month.

Was your AOS package accepted yet?

They'll probably get to your IV package either late this week or early next week.

And since they schedule interview dates all month long, it doesn't matter when they complete your case ;)

Yes, I called this morning and the guy said 'last week', didnt ask for a date though. Now wait for IV begins. :)

The DS-3032 Email Template posted here on VJ is not logical!

CIS Case No: <USCIS Case Number> or <NOA Receipt Number>

1. What is the defference between the "CIS Case No" and the "USCIS Case Number"?

my guess would be, they are the same?

2. There is no such thing as a "USCIS Case Number", Correct?

what I mean is... the correct title is, "Notice of Action Receipt Number", Correct?

Here is the correct line for template then:

Notice of Action Receipt Number: <NOA Receipt Number>

Plus after talking to an operator at the NVC, I was told that ONLY the "NVC Case Number: is needed for the DS-3032 email.

correct?

On the top right, click 'Settings', then the 'Profile' tab, then the 'Change Signature' sub-tab. Then write all your important dates :)

Exactly! good.gif

Thanks Saylin!!! I will work on the signature line! This should keep me occupied a couple more days while I wait. (I need an emoticon that twiddles its' thumbs. )

The end is in sight! I'm so excited that we've made it this far! Couldn't have done it without VJ! We're still surprised by the speed that we are getting through NVC. AOS package was delivered today and the IV bill was paid today. The IV package is ready to go once it shows paid- hopefully tomorrow. I'm hoping we can make the cut-off for interview scheduling this month. Have we missed it yet??
