Ok, I tried asking this in the main section but I'm being ignored. :( So I'm going to try here.

Does anyone who's been through the interview process recommend bringing copies of emails/chats as evidence of a bonafide marriage?

I will bring them if I have to, but I'd prefer not to.

AOS

5/16/2012 - Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox at 1:33pm

5/21/2012 - Email/text notifications received at 4:50 p.m.

5/26/2012 - NOA hard copies received for I-130, I-485 and I-765

6/19/2012 - Biometrics completed.

7/02/2012 - Text/email/hard copy notification of interview.

7/30/2012 - EAD card production ordered.

8/02/2012 - Interview @ 2:00

8/02/2012 - Email notification of GC production at 5:30pm

8/07/2012 - Second GC production email

8/07/2012 - EAD received.

8/08/2012 - GC mailed.

8/09/2012 - Welcome letter and I-130 approval letter received.

8/10/2012 - Green card received. :)

im a bit confused as to what interview your talking about based on your timeline....but its recommended to bring all you can to your interview....better to have it than not and getting denied. They cant deny you on the grounds that you bought too much stuff. good luck :thumbs:

I'm talking about our AOS interview, which is in less than 48 hours. :help:

I have about 5000 emails/chats dating back to 2006, 3 years before my husband ever entered this country for the first time. I'm thinking that bringing many of them would be going a bit overboard, but I want to see what other people think.

I'm talking about our AOS interview, which is in less than 48 hours. :help:

I have about 5000 emails/chats dating back to 2006, 3 years before my husband ever entered this country for the first time. I'm thinking that bringing many of them would be going a bit overboard, but I want to see what other people think.

I'd say use your discretion and choose clean emails with dates at intervals from the time you met until now. Copying all of them sounds a bit extreme and unnecessary.

05/03-bio appt rcvd. scheduled 05/21. hialeah ASC

05/12-RFE rcvd. USC husband 2011 taxes, proof of IO employment authorization???

05/16-successful walk in at Hialeah. 20minutes no questions asked.

06/30-Ead ap combo in hand
07/24-interview scheduled 08/27/2012
08/27/2012-interview-approved. Texts/emails at 6:30pm
08/30- Card production texts
09/04/2012-Welcome to America. Green Card in hand!

No. Emails and chats will pale in comparison to the real evidence of you living together and sharing a life together. The IO will not want to read chats.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Compared to joint lease, credit cards, etc, the chats seem kind of silly. For one thing, we talked about really mundane things. And I can't seem to find one where one or both of us didn't drop an F bomb. I never realized we were such potty mouths!
