Hi Everyone i got my case approved on the 24th of May (K1 VISA) and after almost a month my case was transferred to Us embassy in Islamabad. Its been over a month and i haven't received my packet 3 in mail neither my fiancee has received anything in her email .

I am but worried about what to do as i know it doesn't take this long from what i have seen. I have got the following questions:

1 Does the islamabad embassy send packet 3 in email or regular post ?

2 Is there any place where i can contact them ?

3 Is it possible to send all the required documents to the embassy if you haven't received a packet 3 ?

I will be very thankful to you guys for your help !!

contact your consulate / embassy (The one that receive your papers.) There should be a phone number, e-mail, mail.

I did contact the Kazakhstan embassy and they e-mail me a packet 4 (There no packet 3)

I am not sure what requirement for your country. Check the portals it have a lot info there.

Hey your time line and mine are very similar!

This is what you need to do.

First do you have a NVC case number? and also you can ask them when the packet was mailed out to the embassy!

If it has been mailed out lets say July 1st it usualy gets there in 5 to 7 days they process for 3 days and you should recieve an email roughly 10 to 12 days from your file leaving NVC.

Look at my time line everything has been right on time. I also had a RFE and i noticed you had one too.

If it is still past that time period. which I am almost sure it is!

you need to have your fiance check her JUNK mail inbox. Also sometimes the email address could have been entered incorrectly. So the next thing to do would be to call Islamabad embassy.

also here is a link we have been using: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

it has yet to be proven to be accurate and reliable. but for me it was . just enter your ISL1234567 number in there and see what it comes up with.

Hey i have checked the status of my case on that link and it says Ready. And it also says response date 20 july 2012. What is that response date for ? If i keep going to the bottom it says your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. But i haven't got the packet 3 still . My fiancee has checked her email and junk folder too but theres nothing there. And theres no way you can get through to the IV Unit in islamabad coz they always end the call. i have sent them an email about this but haven't received a reply yet. I ll keep you posted if i hear anything. And what does it show for you when you track your case on that link ?
