So my husband is in the military and he will be leaving for training for two months on september 15th, I'm about to send in my package and by then it will be two and a half months into the process. He will also be taking our only car,so I won't be ableto go in by myself. My question is how much will I have to respond to a biometrics letter and go in , in case I get it within those three months?

They seem to schedule the biometrics pretty quickly (surprisingly). I got the biometrics letter a week or so after filing with an appointment within 30 days from the filing date. You might be okay if you file your paperwork soon! If you find you need to reschedule, there is an option on the form they will send you.

Total elapsed time between filing I-129F to GC in hand 569 days or 1 Year, 6 months, 22 days.

The biometrics appointment is usually about a month after receiving the NOA... It may be tight but not impossible that you would have it before your husband will be gone.

If not:

- try a walk-in

or

- try to reschedule your appointment

or

- find someone to take you there.

Who would I have to call to reschedule, uscis or the local office?
