03/08/2011 ----- RFE received and being reviewed at USCIS

03/17/2011 ----- NOA2 (I-129F approved)

03/23/2011 ----- NOA2 hard copy received

03/29/2011 ----- NVC received our Case

04/04/2011 ----- NVC letter received and case forwarded to US embassy Manila

04/08/2011 ----- US Embassy Manila received our case (Consulate)

04/15/2011 ----- Paid VISA at BPI

04/16/2011 ----- Received Eligibility Letter from US Embassy Manila dated April 8, 2011

04/25/2011 ----- 1st day of Medical

04/26/2011 ----- 2nd day of Medical (I PASSED!! Thank you Lord!!)

05/13/2011 ----- Interview (221g - Case under Administrative Processing "AP")

08/12/2011 ----- Received an email from the embassy "Case is pending review by a consular officer"

Went to the interview for my K-1 and my fiancee came with me. When I was called to the window, the consulate pointed to my fiancee sitting down and said she should come up to the window also. (She had seen the photos of us. She asked us:

When did we meet?

What was I doing in the USA at the time we met? (I was working on H1-B which I'm sure they knew)

How did we meet?

Where was it?

What attracted me to her?

What do I not like about her?

She asked my fiancee what she loved about me.

What kind of work do you do? (she asked both of us this even after looking at the i-129 why would she ask my fiancee this I'm not sure?)

She asked if we had been together since we met. (we broke up once and told her about it)

Why did you break up? What made you get back together?

How did you enter the USA all those trips? (on VWP - to which she said "oh that's right I was wondering how you entered without a B2" I wasn't sure if she was serious, she forgot about VWP i guess?)

Did you get her a ring? (My fiancee tehn proudly showed her the ring, she seemed uninterested)

Where did you buy the ring?

Did you buy if before or after you applied for the K1?

How did you propose?

Do you have wedding plans?

How many people will be attending your wedding?

What date do you have set?

She then looked through the paperwork and a few more photos. She took my fingerprints and then said "Everything seems to be in order, congratulations your K-1 visa has been approved, we will contact you when it is to be picked up, in about a week or so. Have a nice day"

Congrats. Just be aware that you may still not be done. We had almost the exact same experience 2 weeks ago except they wouldn't let me in and he had to go alone. But we got approved!! They told us he could pick up his visa in 4 days! 4 days later it wasn't ready and no one would tell us why not. Finally a week later they informed us it was going through administrative processing and could take from 3-6 months or longer. They would contact us when it was complete. We are completely set back right now. Wedding plans were finally coming together but now we just have no idea how to proceed. I sincerely hope you get your visa as soon as possible.
