September interviews

Seema how do you go about finding the list of all the immigrant visa appointments for your country for the month of September? I ask cause I dont see that many people from Trinidad stating that they got September interviews also I found it quite strange that I got the very last working day in that month. Just curious to know how you saw the website for India...

Hey Rolemodel... we have a link on mumbai consulate website, they say it gets updated every 15th of month but it doesnt happen, this list just updated with end of september dates as of Yesterday

I won't call it luck. If you look at my time line you will notice I had my fair share of delay and playing the waiting game. My journey started since September 8th 2011. No luck here in obtaining the very last working day of September as my interview date. I just pray that this ordeal will be over with little or no problems on that day.

My Husband counted the no..August they were 114 for IR-1/CR-1 and september its 216...Guess there are clearing the backlog...We both will be October birds i guess ..Gd Luck with ur journey

hey guys i am also waiting for oct interviews...my case got completed on 27july...i hoping for sept ,,,but it ends now...best of luck for early oct

Thank you so much for your best wishes. I pray you will also experience the joy of having an interview date soon. Yes the wait is awful at times but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel all I can do now is pray for a good interview with favorable results.

Good luck to you as well KC..now that the count down have begun are you getting excited? I am LOL. I could not help but notice that there is only few persons on VJ having their interview this month, especially from my country. I hope I won't have a long wait at the embassy on that day.

Woowwww i cant believe you are waiting for this long.......... have u contacted your embassy? or have u spoken to a supervisor in NVC???

Whether it's normal or not I cannot say, but our case was completed on July 2nd. I don't know about the Turkish embassy, but I imagine in Sweden at least it's partly because of vacations and such. I emailed both the NVC and the Stockholm embassy. The embassy replied and said they would be able to catch up within a month's time (I received the reply on Aug. 29).

I called NVC 7 times and always the same story "due to high capacity in your Embassy, you have to wait for your interview date". I didn't talk to a supervisor yet, but my plan is to wait until September 15th and if I don't get my interview date by then, I will call again and talk to a Supervisor at NVC. I called US Embassy in Ankara, but they told me to call NVC. This happened two months ago. Thanks for your reply.

I just received a call from the US Embassy here in Trinidad they mover up my date to September 26th 2012 from September 28th 2012. I am happy for that two day change. I hope I be as successful as you are Mr America.

How did it go? Did the embassy already receive the medical results when she went for her interview?

Update: My wife is pregnant, with a due date of October 5th. Our CR-1 interview date was scheduled for September 11th. She went in for an OB check up and the doctor told her it's quite likely that she will give birth 2-3 weeks early...around September 15th. We really want to give birth here in the states so I called the U.S. Embassy twice, trying to get her interview moved to an earlier date, but no luck. Both times I was told that since NVC scheduled her interview, they couldn't change it to an earlier time. We figured that was it, and we'll see what happens. Last week my wife made a new friend at her St. Luke's exam and just last night she got a text from her new friend, telling her that she rescheduled her K1 interview, to about 3 weeks earlier. My wife asked me to call the embassy again. I figured it was a waste of time but being a good hubby, I said fine, I'll try. This time, the woman I spoke with was very helpful, and got us a new interview date...this Friday, August 17th! I didn't even ask for an expedite or claim any emergency, she just gave us the new appointment. With all the flooding, and closing of the embassy last week, I was really shocked that they had available slots so soon!

To anyone that can't (or doesn't want to) wait, you might try to call them and ask if they have an earlier dates available.
