Interview Documents

Hi guys.

I always thought going through all this once (for a K1 fiancée visa) would have helped me, but it's only confused me further.

We applied for an IR1 back last August (long story short, after getting my K1 I got cancer and had to fly back to the UK before I applied for AOS, so we had to start all over again), and 5 days ago our I-864/IV package was approved by the NVC, so my interview will be booked soon, etc.

Now, when I went for my K1 interview in London, I had to take a full I-864.. or so I was told, they didn't actually care much about it when I got there and only asked for my wife's I-864 even though she didn't make enough money.

Now, my question is, do I need to take an I-864 at all, this time? Or a police cert? Or pretty much any documents except my passport? I'm aware the London Embassy website says "All that you will be required to furnish on the day of the interview is your passport and three color photographs.", but I want to make totally sure. What about evidence of a relationship, will I need any more of that? Tbh it hardly feels like we have a relationship since I've been stuck here for so long, lol.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully this time I can get my visa and just live there, cancer free :).

In this case, you've already submitted the I-864 to the NVC so no need to bring it to interview :-) If you're someone who likes to play it safe and take copies of everything to interview, then you can do that. Also of course if something changes between now and the interview you can take up-to-date proof of income with you.

No need for evidence of relationship.
