Hi dear fellows,

Today i had an interview at US consulate Halifax, NS Canada. I applied for visit visa and My interview was pretty perfect but in the end the visa officer give me notice of suspension 221G, Further review needed and told me that i would get an email from them regarding decision. I couldn't ask him about the time frame required for that review as I was damn sleepy and wanted to go home and sleep :-)

My question is why they put applications in under review status? is it fully accepted, partially accepted or what? i feel like laughing at this status. they should either grant the visas or simply reject. What the heck are they doing by putting people in curiosity.

Anyways i would appreciate your comments based on your experiences?

Thanks in Advance

Khan

Checking to see who you really are. Are you who you say you are, checking many national databases.

Name check

Fingerprint check

multi-country database check

FBI check

Country check

Very unusual for a Canadian.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Your country flag should be wherever you are from.

yep right, but its my homeland now, staying here for throughout my life. Could sacrifice myself for it :-)

Thats cool, but the flag of the country whose passport you carry helps.

Lot of the times your questions can be answered better if ppl on here know exactly what country you are from, as things vary from country to country... like someone from Canada being put into AP.
