Question about filing for unmarried son

My aunt who is a green card holder wants to apply for her unmarried son who lives in Pakistan. But currently he is is on a student visa in UK studying. Does that need to be mentioned on I-130 anywhere. Also if he ends up becoming a resident of UK due to a job would his case need to be updated with the USCIS? Also what happens if the case is pending and he gets married, does the case cancel out?

Please advise if you have any input on this. Thanks.

Since he is in the UK on a legal status, she should provide his UK address wherever his address is asked for. He will be allowed to interview at the London embassy instead of returning to Pakistan. Other than that, his presence and status in the UK should not affect his case either way.

Yes, if he marries, he will no longer be an unmarried child, and will drop to the married children priority category, adding several years to his wait time. I don't think the case cancels out, but his priority category will change, in a bad way.

DON'T PANIC

she can put the current address, it doesn't matter for now, how old is he? over or under 21, the wait is longer for unmarried children over 21. he cannot marry, residents cannot file for married children, only USC can. the petition will be voided and she will have to file all over again once she becomes a USC

Thanks for the replies. He is 23. So basically if she applies he will have to remain unmarried for at least 8 more years. Also in the mean time if the mother gets US citizenship does the case need to be changed over?

So even though he is in UK on his student VISA we should put UK address and not Pakistan address?
