I read a review earlier and the Gentleman was asked if he was Ex-Military in his second Embassy interview for his K1.

Is this seen as a plus or held against him? Does it lead on to further questions and more paperwork?

Thank you.

Assuming you are talking about the beneficiary, it is a minus. You usually need to bring your military records, and they may be suspicious of you and your allegiances.

Ah, Thats not great to hear.

It is me, although I'm British Army i have spent the last 11 years working along side American forces throughout the Middle East. I'm hoping this goes in my favour and the questions are more aimed at none NATO/Coalition forces. If not i could have a very hard time.

Yeah I don't think it'll be a major issue in your case. It would be more so if the person was in the military forces of a hostile country.
