Word on the street says that they rejected about 50% on 7/31/2012 interviews for Administrative Review at GUZ. Could be many reasons for this. Over quota for month of July? Justifying their jobs and creating more work for themselves to do so. Who knows. Just the games we play.

After writing a long letter to GUZ. This respnse.

Ms. XXXX's case requires additional administrative processing. This is only a temporary refusal. You don't need to worry about it. We do not need additional information or documents from you while the case is under administrative processing. This may take up to several months. We will contact Ms. XXXX by mail when the case is ready for continued processing. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

Interview in Guangzhou. Seemed to be ok with relationship but sent back for admin. review. What does this mean? Do I have any recource? Does this mean I have to foot the bill for another interview?

Most common cause of administrative review is Commnist Party membership or sometimes having an advanced technical degree. Typical wait time is 2 to 6 months.

From others here I am gathering that it is something on her end though. They give little details out.

Though it is certainly a delay, it does sound promising. I agree with one of your other comments.... they are looking at something on her side of the visa application. You just have to hang tough, it will work out fine in the end.

can you summarize what she answered in the interview? maybe she said something that made the officer worry.

She was asked the usual questions. How did you meet? Does he have any children? Has he met your family? How do you communicate?

The blue sheets are only marked X on the administartive process box. No other documents are required. When I emailed the embassy they said don't worry, just wait.

At this time we are not that worried. Sounds like they are just behind on paperwork or have quotas.

I will call weekly for a case update. I don't think getting Politicians involve at this point is worth it. Should I get denied I would do it though.

Not necessarily, the truth of the matter is no one knows what is under review and just like it may something on her end, it may be something on your end as well. I trend I have seen however, is that once the review is complete the visa is granted. If something was completely wrong with the application it would have been caught by now and the visa denied. I think it is just a matter of patience and utilize the time to get know your baby better. Worrying about the outcome only makes white hair.

fwiw, with 'that kind of worry' additional stuff is asked for, and there form is handwritten for that additional stuff.

So, you've hit a 'negative boundary test' here and it failed.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
