Friday’s Olympic opening ceremony in London was “more socialist” than the Beijing version four years ago, and a tribute to the National Health Service included in the performance was “done on behalf of” President Barack Obama, Rush Limbaugh claimed  Monday.

“Of all the things that you want to honor,” he said on his radio show. “I mean, the people of Great Britain don’t even like the National Health Service! And then it hit me, and then it hit me. It was actually done on behalf of President Kardashian. They did it for Obama. Nobody will convince me otherwise.”

It'd be more colorful if Rush was actually IN London, attending.

Otherwise? More EIB entertainment, paid for by the advertisers.

Saying the British don't like the NHS while in Great Britain?

Rush is too smart for that. He will play ignorant where it's safe.

 How long until they start airing those commercials again about how terrible it is and how everyone dies on the NHS?

Brits whine about everything, it is part of the culture unfortunately. The whiners have no idea what it is like here in America and how terrible the American healthcare system is.

One of my friends was complaining to me that the government wants to change maternity leave from 6 months to 4 months. They assumed it was the same here, and that men are entitled to paid leave from work. Some people don't know how lucky they are.

Rush Likbaugh would not like a system where he could not self medicate with OxyContin...

I hear this being said an awful lot by people, but I never really hear anyone mention specifics. Now that a universal healthcare system is in place, what specifically is it about the American healthcare system that is inferior to what the Brits have?

There is no universal healthcare system here, what on earth are you talking about?

President Kardashian. What does he mean by that?

This is something that caught me by surprise when I moved here. We're planning on having kids in the next year or two, and I was used to Canadian thinking where you get a year of maternity leave. Definitely not the case here.

Should probably move back to Canada to spawn.

Our system doesn't cover everyone. Theirs does.

That's pretty much the biggest difference.
