Does "Contact Us" go anywhere?

Does "Contact Us" go anywhere? I only ask because I have used the Contact Us feature a few times, and never received a response. I've complained a few times about what gets put into the visa time lines, people that put future dates for NOA and these annoying "payday loans" that are put in there daily. I know that it is pretty open to type anything you want, but I think it needs some filtering.

it goes directly to site admin, moderators don't even see the contents of it.

You should receive an automatic response stating that your contact message regarding xxxx has been received and you will receive a notification when it is addressed. When the item has been actioned you should also receive a statement that the item has been addressed and is now closed. If you have not received the acknowledgment response then it may be that there is a problem with the contact form.

If you are seeing spam anywhere on VJ (payday loans) unless they are part of the paid ads from Google over which we have no control, then would you send a message to a moderator as well? There may be something that we can do.

I have also mentioned the silly ability to put in future dates or "still waiting" in the timeline fields to the admin and have gotten no response, and no acknowledgement of receipt as described above.

We get several dozen contacts a day so it's not possible to reply to them all individually. I could always do a lot better though and I will try. As for the timeline note; future filing dates and "still waiting" notes should be ignored and not affect the estimates. e happy to look into it further.

Agree on that statement. Ads are specific per user and not controlled by VJ.

I have written to you on several occasions without response. This has been going on for years, what is the purpose of having this feature if a response is not forthcoming. You have asked on numerous occasions for input yet you are unable or unwilling to respond in any manner timely or otherwise. Given the nature of my correspondence a personal response is obligatory, I am sure that I am not the only one. Members take the good time to write to you and the least you can do is respond or is our time not valuable? The moderators refer members to site administration for your perusal and response. If you are indeed happy to look into it further, with the backlog of messages I'm sure that you'll be ecstatic. You use the term, "we," who or what is "we?" Do we have a right to know?

I'm happy to address general questions here, if you have any. This forum is certainly the place to discuss general questions versus the contact form. General questions are answered in this forum much quicker and the contact form for more specific account issues.

You are avoiding the issues. You stated, " We get several dozen contacts a day so it's not possible to reply to them all individually." So what are you saying? You have the time to respond here yet you don't respond to the issues raised in the contact form. Maybe you should clear the backlog of messages before you post here I'm sending you another PM, when can I expect a response?

Thank you for responding Captain Ewok (and other moderators). I did get the automated response for at least one of them, but no follow up on either. That is why I posted here.

It looks like the payday loans is getting cleaned up somewhat. A few hours ago there was a bunch of "fast payday loans" and they are cleared out now. A simple captcha might help with those (like on the Contact Us page, a nice easy to read captcha).

As far as the dates on the timeline, I think what people care about most, is sorting by NOA2, since that is where most of us do the waiting. Everyone uses that to gauge when they will be next. I know the estimate is there, but the estimate changes, and people like to see raw data and make their own estimates. This user http://www.visajourney.com/forums/user/129165-heitoreamanda/ had put 2012-07-31 over a month before they could have gotten an NOA2. As you can see on their profile, people complained to this user via user comments, I even sent a PM, and until later today, this entry has sat at the top of the list. Yea we can ignore it, it's really just an annoyance. There has also been cases where people don't use the correct date format, or they don't enter leading zeros. There was one that sat at the top that was 2012-5-21 for a while until they fixed it. I would recommend a date chooser of some sort for data entry. I know it takes a few hours just to refamiliarize with the code, and more to change and test it, and I understand that feeling you get when someone asks you to change old code that functions fine I am just making suggestions. My main question was really "can anyone hear me?" and I think you have heard me.

I haven't really used Igor's list much, just the regular timeline. I suppose I could switch to it. Honestly I'm hoping I won't be staring at the list much longer....NOA2 any day now Do enough people use Igor's list for you to make that effort? I am assuming Igor's list is in the link on the right and not the main K-1 timeline.
