It sounds like you plan on marrying in the Philippines. That being said, you are required to have witnesses to the wedding. Be prepared to obtain afadavit from brothers, sisters, parents and friends that will state that your relationship is bonifade. This is an important part of the process.

Also make sure you obtain more than one certified copy of cenomar and marriage certificate from your federal government. Start preparing now so that you both can submit I-130 shortly after your marriage so you are not held up because of waiting on documents to be sent to spouse in USA.

It takes about 10 months on average to obtain visa after NOA1 so be prepared to wait.

Good luck!

Good news is once you arrive in USA, you will obtain usually in less than 1 month your green card so you can work and obtain drivers license, etc.

than you very much ;)))

i just wondered what are the questions typically asked during spousal visa interview?

processing times? ( manila-california service center)

don't worry too much... its not that hard,,, as soon as your husband get back to usa let him start to File I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. There are instructions in USCIS website and guidelines too. We never hire lawyers my husband did the filling and i did all my documentation in Manila. Good Luck. And BTW you need Cert of capacity to marry from us embassy in manila before you can get a marriage license, you better prepare now all you personal documents such as NSO bert Cert. and Cenomar.

thank you very much for that comprehensive and detailed responses ;)

im glad i have found this site sooo helpful

thanks sir darnell;))

iam on a mobile device ill check on that asap ;)))

GODBLESS US ALL

Handphones suck for VJ usage - you miss 80 to 90 percent of stuff.

Find a computer with internet access, come back, find/read the guides.

Whilst yer at it, email the guides link / url to yer other half, immediately. HE needs to learn all, as it's HIM that's filing the I-130 petition, asking permission from the Feds for YOU to file for a Visa, later.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

you never include an affadavit of support with the I-130 submittal.

Please, I beg of you, spend some pesos, get into an internet cafe, rent a computer, bring a usb thumb drive,

and read the guides here.

Handphone usage for VJ sucks - you MISS 80 to 90 percent of the content that you need to be successful.

Here is a link to help you prepare for getting married there. To make your initial filing, you can submit the local marriage certificate. You'll need to apply to get an NSO copy asap because you'll need to submit that several months later.

Are there any children involved?? Good luck and read the guides, and ask questions here if you are not completely sure of something.

Good Luck!
