Hello all,

I am the beneficiary and I recently submitted the initial I129F packet this past Thursday, July 27, 2012, and I noticed something I did incorrectly. On the portion of the I129F packet where it states, "Your Fiance will apply for a visa abroad at the American Embassy or Consulat at," I accidentally put Toronto, Canada, and it is supposed to be Montreal. Also, on my G325A I noticed that the last two digits of my SSN was cut, due to me typing the slashes into the pdf document -00. However, on the g325a form I checked the box for Other (Specify), "this form is submitted in connection with application for," and listed I129F. On the I129F form I have the correct full SSN typed out. Will I receive a RFE for either of these two items listed above? :-/

You won't be getting an RFE for the Consulate portion, for sure; but you'll probably have to keep an eye out later on to make sure that they'll route everything to the appropriate consulate. IF there is a mistake later on (around NOA2 time) you can have it changed without major hassle. When it comes to the SSN# they will probably figure out the mistake, and won't RFE you either.

The important thing to learn from this is: Dot your i's and cross your t's carefully.

If you happen to get an RFE (highly unlikely), it'll only set you back a few days... so don't sweat it much either.

Thank you, Celeste. Hopefully, I do not receive any RFE's for the typo's I listed above. I appreciate the information and tip regarding the i's and t's.
