Hi all,

We are trying to figure out the processing times for our AOS that we sent off on June 27th. We got request for initial evidence on 7/20 and they receive our response with the correct stuff on 7/27. Now I'm trying to figure out how long it might take for our AOS. According to USCIS.gov, they are reviewing our case at the NBC. But processing times for the NBC do not include AOS (I 485). And when I go into the "check case status" and do the little thing at the bottom of the page to check processing times it doesn't work. I select I 485, but it wants me to select a "sub-type," and none of them are I 485 based on marriage to a US citizen. The only options are the Hatian refugee thing, AOS from work visa, refugee here for 1 year, and asylum here for one year. My husband came on a K1 visa.

Any ideas how we can find out the processing time? We live outside of DC, and he goes tomorrow for his biometrics in Alexandria.

Waiting for Green Card!

It's under your local office. Or, your case will be transferred to CSC and that is not on the website at all. I think CSC is rather slow lately at around 8 months or something. You can join the June filers thread and compare timelines. I am sure they would love to have you. You can find the thread in the "Progress Subforum" area.

I was in similar shoes...except ours went from NBC to CSC, then an RFE, then back to CSC...p.s. we applied Nov 3,2011...still waiting...not sure what else to do.

Harpa- my husband is also an Israeli, any idea if they treat K-1 Visas from there differently? We are on the verge of talking to an attorney.

Hey guys i need some advice. Getting a bit worried. I am in the process of getting my green card.. It's been over 4 months now since i had my bio metrics done. I checked the processing timelines on some of the other ppl here on visa journey and everyone took less time to get their green card. Any hints on what i should do, beside calling the CISI office?? ( i know how "help full" they are  ... Your feed back is highly appreciated.. thanks!!

No Israel isn't treated differently - it is a low fraud country.

Yours might be taking a long time because CSC is slow, then once they looked at the file they decided it required an interview so it went into another queue for your local office (that what the NBC after CSC indicates).

I think you should call your congressman though - it's been over a year (I just saw someone get approved after 9 months from CSC).

You must have been checking the wrong timelines. Make sure you are only looking for K-1s transferred to CSC in your comparison.
