So you don't agree with Scalia? Would you allow land-mines, chemical weapons, RPG's, mortars, shoulder-fired SAM's? Those are all hand-carried and frequently used in modern warfare. How about helicopter gunships, attack fighters, cruise missiles and nukes? Where do you draw the line?

The US COnstitution is a starting point not an ending point.

IN other words if you believe Congress shall not deprive citizens of say semi-auto rifles.... that doesn't mean that the state couldn't allow greater fire power ....it means that a semi-auto is the minimum weapon protected by our perverted shift.

The shift that took limits on the federaL GOV'T and applied it to individual states.

Everywhere else in the world a STATE is a pretty autonomous region, except right here.

Magazines will also get attention. Shumer already slipped a high capacity magazine ban, (over 10 rounds), in the cybersecurity bill.
