She was homely, unattractive even, but a brilliant woman, great Secy of State and a fine American. I'll take homely and bright over dumb any day of the week, when it comes to politics.

Call it what you will, I'm not the one who made the reference, I was just explaining to num nuts what I thought the poster meant. He seems to want to argue the way I understood the post as it was written. Here's the post in question, what do you think he/she meant?

Clinton was called a lesbian and all kinds of things, she did nothing to deserve any of it. Palin made epic mistakes which were picked up by the media constantly, this was only because she couldn't stop making herself look like the idiot she is. Apples and oranges.

As does most every President. They all have scripts and when they're thrown curve balls they most always hit the dirt. The only President I can remember who seemed immune to that was Reagan, but I attribute most of that to his being an actor.
