Okay is it me or does it seem every Embassie/Consulate has come to a grinding halt with assignig Interview appointments? People waiting at NVC over a month some up to 3 months. Haven't seen too much "we got our appointment date" from any country. For Spousal or K1 Visa. Can someone enlighten me on the process. Is there a certain time of year or what? And is this "we only schedule the 2nd week of the month" that NVC says true.

Thank you.

I don't know but it seems to be taking longer than normal for everything after USCIS - at least for us and some days the Consulates do have holidays. We sent back packet 3 and are waiting - hope to hear something about scheduling this coming week.

WOW that's a lot of holidays. Thank you. Just seems all embassies just stop giving interview dates.

The normal wait though for Lagos is usually at least 1cmonth at best out 2 months right?

With K1's it was near the end of the validity which would be 3 months. RIght now they are probably madly processing the AP files for the end of the DV lottery year. Those poor folks of the visa isn't approved by the end of September of their visa year there is no second chance.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
