Question about g-325a for us citizen

Hello all!

My hustband( US-citizen) has to fill out a g325a form for my I-130. But we can not make sense of the form since he is not the applicant.

Can anyone tell me what he is submitting this application in connection with?

And I know he has to sign it but again he is not the applicant he is petitioning for me.

He is petitioning you so they want to know about both of you. Simple as that.

I think the main purpose of the USC filling out the G-325 in connection with the I-130 is basically to verify they are who they say they are, and they qualify to do the petition.

It is a little confusing, but once you start filling it out,hopefully it will make more sense. Were there any specific parts that confused you?

You are not yet applying for a visa. You are requesting permission to apply for a visa. This petition is not your petition. It is your husbands petition. The G-325a is required from both the petitioner and the beneficiary to perform the background checks.

He and you should both write "other" then put IR-1/CR-1 visa application

I don't think the OP is applying for a visa.

The USC should put "other" and write I-130.

On the G-325a for the immigrant, yes. You pick application for status as permanent resident.

But the OP was asking about the G-325a for the USC, so in that case it's "other" and I-130.

sorry to piggy back my question here, I have same question. What will my USC wife will fill and what I will fill? I AOSing from f1- GC.
