Hm, that sounds great, but how does it work? We have our NVC case number, but when I entered it, it said "invalid application ID or case number". Also, our case number is shorter than the given example on the site - "2012118 345 0001" - ours doesn't have the last two groups of numbers, just the first part. I would love to see some kind of case status. The waiting for NOA2 was tough, but at least you could somehow check your status. Now we don't know where our documents are and when the next step is happening. Sometimes this process is driving me nuts :bonk:

checked mine it says this.

Mine says...

Immigrant Visa Case Number: SAA2009....

Case Creation Date: n/a

Response Date: 23-Jul-2012

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

What does response date mean?

Been in AP for 27months by the way.

I could be wrong but I get the feeling that the RESPONSE DATE is actually like "Last Updated" on the USCIS case status page. Look at Hyder_ejaz above... his response date was 1st Aug and he got his visa issued on 1st Aug. My response date was 30th July at first (my inteview was on that day), then it changed to 1st August and hasn't changed since. So I'm guessing this is like when you file is "touched" for processing... at least some movement is visible this way!

Priority date: 14th October 2011

NOA 2: 23rd March 2012

Case Complete at NVC: 29th May 2012

Interview schedule for 30th July 2012 > Result: Administrative Processing / Green slip 221(g)

AP ended on 29th August - Passport in hand!!

I agree... and ill bet like USCIS there will still be some with inaccurate records or can't see them at all. But the majority will be able to!! Glitches still but for the most part a good thing for all of us!

What is there to touch on an administrative processing case? The dates have always changed until that last day, but he has remained on AP for 27months. Nothing new...

Incoming info they are gathering from different departments is entered in the system and results in a touch/changed date I believe. AP consists of many different checks, verification and investigations.
