hello everybody, i have sent my iv packet on july 24th of this month. My question is how long it takes for the case completion and will i be notified by email or should i call nvc as i want to travel to my wife in India as soon as the case is completed.

Also, how long would it take for them to schedule an interview date from the date my case is complete. The Embassy is in New Delhi India and i reside in California.

Any help would be greatly appreaciated

Its the same with me I am hoping for a case close like in the first week of August and hopefully an interview by mid September. Good luck

Good luck to you both. From what I have read you need to call the NVC to check that the IV and AOS packets have been received. Let us know how you get on.

based on my aos response time, i am projecting it takes a average of 9 business days...

01/20/12 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox.

01/26/12 - NOA1 received and processing at Vermont.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

06/30/12 - Hard copy NOA2 received.

07/09/12 - NVC Casefile Number and IIN Issued.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.

07/18/12 - Optin accepted and new case number, AOS marked paid, emailed AOS packet.

you can check my signature for exact time frame it took in my case for AOS and IV processing. Both were done in 5 business days.

There is no guarantee about how quickly you may get an interview date. AFAIK Mumbai Consulate is taking about 2+ months on average (time between case complete at NVC and Interview) due to heavy marriage season around Nov to Jan time frame in India, it may be more or less for Delhi.

I did cslled on friday they said it takes 20 days for completion

that's their generic sentence for any *time frame* related question during NVC processing except process to schedule your interview date.
