Hi, Our case is under AP right now but they gave my fiance his passport back saying that if he needs to travel somewhere he will need his passport.....so is it bad sign that the gave him his passport back? does that mean there are less chances of approval?

The bad thing about A P is you wont know how long it will affect your case and you will get zero info about whats going on. This now requires a lot of patience to get thru this time period. Many of us went thru this but got the visa as a result.

It just means they aren't planning on giving him the visa for at least a few weeks so they don't need the passport right now.

Giving passport back is not a bad thing. In my case, they sent me 2nd 221g along with my passport. I then submitted required doc and passport on Monday, then by Friday, they granted my visa. Within 5 days ( where doc had to travel from Chennai to Mumbai, and during that week, there was one national holiday). They were pretty quick.

Make sure you provide the doc that they need, and if they are satisfied, then they are going to grant the visa.

In our case consular didn't asked for any further more proofs, at the time of interview he just asked us to provide our chat, mails and phone conversation.

Rest other documents like PCC, date of birth, etc are 100% fine from our side.

Anyone knows how much time it will take, our case is genuine and we have submitted all proofs in order, so that they can easily understand. We both have been together from last 4 years via email, chats and phone. I hope they will look into all these and grant visa to my fiance.
