EAD approved, but not AP, should I expect EAD/AP combo card?

I got notification for EAD("Card Production") but for the AP it is still "Initial Review". I understand that both will be in a COMBO card if filed together with AOS.

Will they send out the Combo Card even if my AP is not yet approved??

The online system is unreliable. Your AP is probably approved as well. You'll know when you get the card.

ROC:

Did you experience such?

My AP status stopped updating before EAD. It didn't say card production on AP online status either. I have a combo card in hand.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

Click timeline or "about me" for all details.

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

Well, my AP was approved online but never updated from thereon. I wouldn't worry too much about it since the online status may and can be unreliable. When you receive the card, check to see if it says "serves as Advanced parole" - I think that's how it's worded on the front bottom of card.

You don't get hardcopy NOA2 receipts from EAD/AP so if you don't receive a combocard, the only way of looking into what happened is through scheduling an infopass appointment and asking what's up.

If you get the EAD/AP combo card, which almost everyone does as of late, then it will state 'Serves as I-512 Advance Parole' at the bottom above the expiration date. The online status updating system is never reliable. It works for some and doesn't for others. I have seen other people post that they got the update that their EAD was approved but the AP never changed. They all received the EAD/AP combo card anyway.

Let us know if you get the combo card when it arrives in the mail.
