Sure, but you'd actually have to leave Wal Mart to get them. :o

But then, if you leave you're not the righteous and loyal customer that Wal Mart seeks to foster...

Between you and me (and everyone reading), my wife and I go to Wal-Mart every other week and never have I been asked by a Wal-Mart manager about what I do after I leave :)

I'd pay $50 if I could see a doc-in-the-box on a Saturday or Sunday (or even the same day I get sick) for minor illnesses... it's so stupid that you have to make doc appointments a week in advance.

You don't have walk-in clinics where you are?

That's all I ever use. Same doctor every time, no appointment needed. But you gotta be willing to wait a while

Of course not. They just want your buck. Where from? Who cares? Wal Mart sure doesn't. Old Roman Emperor Titus Flavius Vespasianus already knew this to be true: Money doesn't stink, he's quoted as telling his son (while holding a coin under his nose) when the latter complained about the former collecting a sewer tax. ;)

The goodies are still only available outside of WalMart which runs quite contrary to your above vision of living inside one of them and never having to leave.

I've never been to Wal-mart :(:crying:

Check it out. You may appreciate the prices. Only people who don't are high-income snobs.

There are none even remotely near me (that wouldn't require probably 3 buses to get to)....I guess the Wal-mart planners have decided that only the people in the burbs need them because there are none in the city of Chicago...

The city may have actively kept them out.

Not true.

If you say so. To me, anyone who'd rather pay more for ideological reasons is someone who can afford to pay more.

There are plenty of places that offer prices equally low or even lower at times than WalMart. I just bought a video recorder and a digital camera at prices that Wal Mart does not offer. There are low prices outside of WalMart. Try it sometime. You'll be surprised. ;)

I don't buy electronics from Wal-Mart. I use Wal-Mart for household stuff. The prices are low and until another outlet can give me everything I need in one place for a low price, I'd rather not drive around (burning gas) looking for a deal there and another deal somewhere else.

Could be, but I was just curious, so I did a store locator for Target and K-mart and we've only got 2 Targets and 4 K-marts in the city...hmmm... I'd personally like a big fat Target right around the corner from me...
