You referred to the Bible a lot in the Ukraine homosexuality thread too.

Which is fine, but just weird seeing how you're not actually Christian.

I'm not getting your point. I pointed out to where the Holy Bible comes out against Christianity. I don't see why me being a practicing Christian or not makes a difference on something that's common knowledge to anyone who has spent any considerable amount of time in a Christian church or even used a simple google search.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

If there was an article on some woman getting beheaded for adultery in Iran, I would not respond with Quranic verses that seem to justify the punishment.

Unless, you know, I agreed with it.

Nothing weird about it at all. All these lib pseudo Christians who rail against Christian's who are against homosexuality is what I consider weird seeing how the Holy Bible clearly states it's position on two sexually confused guys playing back door bandits with each other. You can't be a Christian and be in the pro homosexual crowd. It's like the Grand Wizard of the KKK being pro interracial marriage. It just doesn't jibe.

Not true. He professed to be Christian but his company employs divorces and divorcees and extend benefits to their concubines. They also employ adulterers and fornicators.

It gives the expression Holy ####### a whole new meaning! rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

All that proves is what we have bee saying all along, that was Mr. Cathy's opinion and they do not discriminate. They hire gays also. All you did was prove what we have been saying. Despite their personal beliefs they do not discriminate and follow the laws.

Since you are not a Christian, and make sweeping claims about Christianity, I understand why you made that error. The Christian way is to hate the sin and love the sinner. It's New Testament vs. Old Testament, the Old Covenant vs. the New Covenant. Instead of stoning people to death, like was done before Christianity, the followers of Christ recognize human frailties, and forgive them. In many modernized Christian sects, homosexuality is not even considered a human frailty.

The Holy Bible clearly comes out against homosexuality in the Old and New Testaments. There's no gray area on it, it's black and white. Now if you want me to post on here where it says in the Holy Bible that God doesn't go for homosexuality let me know and I'l post it for the hundredth time in this forum. In the meantime you sucking up bandwidth with post like that.

I agree. The entire kerfuffle about the controversy has nothing to do with religion in and of itself. In fact Chick Fil A does a lot of good for their employees.

Religion has little to do with it. Religion in the context here is like a Big Mac. That billions were served doesn't make it any less nefarious to the body and mind of the consumers.

Having said that I do enjoy seeing how many cite the bible all the while showing complete lack of knowledge of its contents.

Are there explicit Bible verses about homosexuality?

Of course there are explicit Bible verses about homosexuality. But all Bible verses on homosexuality - whether they be explicit Bible verses about homosexuality or implicit Bible verses on homosexuality - condemn homosexuality. Here are a few examples:

"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination." (Leviticus 20:13).

"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion. ‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you." (Leviticus 18:22-24).

"For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due." (Romans 1:26-27).

Jude testifies about God's fiery destruction of Sodom for "sexual immorality":

"as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." (Jude 7)

Exactly what type of "sexual immorality" and "strange flesh" did the Sodomites go after? It was homosexuality:

"Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." (Genesis 19:4-5)

If it is all the same with you I'd like to hear it from god herself. The last time I asked her she replied, annoyed, and I quote: 'Why on My green Earth would I have made homossexuals if I didn't love each and every last living being of my creation? Snap out of it.'

So until I hear word to the contrary from god, I will have to thank you and pass.
