And that's it in a nutshell with me. I could not care less if Gay people get married. However the idea of Liberal elected officials trying use their government positions to ban them makes me see red. Liberals have been and always will be, much like Stalin. They espouse tolerance and champion the cause of the people, until you disagree with them then it's to he!! with your rights and off to the Gulag.

They are quick to point out how we must tolerate Flag Burning, Paying for urine soaked crosses, etc etc because if we support the constitution it makes us all free, then in the next breath they want to ban and restrict guns, shut down businesses for their opinion, and and the Constitution is irrelevant. They just have no moral anchor.

Lol what utter rubbish you write.

The restaurant is a business - it's goal is to make money, not get involved in controversial social issues. If this furore is affecting the perception of that business, it's not surprising. People vote with their wallets - if they don't like what you're doing, they won't give you their money.

Chick-Fil-A has made a point about being Christian backed in some of its business practices. Progressive insurance doesn't. When a company makes political contributions or implements business practices that reflect a certain religion or political tradition, its likely going to see some fall out from that decision.

Target make a political contribution to a group supporting Tom Emmer in 2010. He was a Republican candidate for Governor who was against gay marriage. Target took a hit for that. Now they made contributions against the marriage amendment in Minnesota and are taking a hit from the other side.

Whoever came up with that wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Inane rubbish.

So your well thought reply to everything in defense of whatever position you have is .. That's rubbish ? I think you lIbs are so deep I can't understand you ...

Of course Progressive does not make a point about being Christian, because they are not.. They are very vocal liberals to the other extreme. That is they whole point., Liberals only think it's a big deal when it's a viewpoint other than theirs.

The point is common sense. The reply is equal to the post it's a response to.

Yabbering on about bullies, Stalin and Gulags? ####### are you smoking? :bonk:

It's a restaurant chain, the perception of which has been damaged by its owners getting involved in a controversial debate. You can complain all you want about grandstanding politicians - at the end of the day the owners are idiots for politicising their business and putting themselves in the firing line.

Private Christian owned business that voices their opinion on homosexuality = BAD ???? (even though the Bible is clear on that subject)

If this was the case, why did Chick-Fil-A lie and release a statement saying the Jim Henson toys were being withdrawn because of safety issues? Anyone who reads the news knows that the Jim Henson foundation pulled the toys before this fake announcement. Shouldn't they be standing by their values rather than lying? That isn't very Christian of them.

Yes, they're so Christian and freely express themselves... They don't lie to cover up their horrible mistakes... They're such good Christians... :bonk:

And why is it not an issue when Liberal bossiness line up on the other side of the argument ? Amazon.com,Nike, Starbucks all have come out in support. So what is no one calling to ban Starbucks from their city ?

Once again Liberals are all for freedom, as long as it supports their view, if not they want it banned.

From my experience a lot of Americans aren't happy unless they are able to polarise every argument. *Sigh*

And who says it isn't an issue? Wasn't Starbucks boycotted at the start of year?

I don't see what the big deal is. A Christian owned company is against homosexuality. The Holy Bible is clear on God's perception of homosexuality so this only makes sense that a Christian owned company doesn't support two men buggering each other. I'm not a Christian per say and I don't agree with two men buggering each other either. A lot of us find it repulsive and against nature.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

How many consecutive elected officials have vowed to prevent Starbucks from building their city, by using their elected office ???

It's always funny when you talk about the Bible.

Especially when you put "Holy" in front of the word.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

No idea. Is it relevant?

It's absolutely relevant because we are talking about how liberals want to use govt to ban ideas they disagree with.
