What is the reason for the cancellation. Does the fiance want to get married and file a marriage petition? Or does this mean that he wants the relationship to end?

The Beneficiary wanted to cancel the K-1 process due to wanting to reside in their own country (Ghana) which is what the reason is that was given.

It looks from your timeline that you have not filed papers yet.

I've read a few cases where the beneficiary changes their mind but I don't think any of them are on VJ anymore.

Is there something specific you wanted answered?

No, my fiance' has not changed his mind but I am not surprised he is reconsidering. Keep in mind this is a huge transition for him and having "cold feet" is something we could all understand. I am acutely aware that leaving Ghana will not be easy for my fiance' as well. He is very close to his family and friends and it will be difficult leaving home. I think you should give him some time to think about it and ask God for patience & strength to handle whatever the "final answer" will be.

All the best to you! :-)

Thank you ladies. I believe I am just going thru the grieving stages of change. However, God's grace and mercy is everlasting. His provision is knowing the end before the beginning. It will be well. My natural self is just weak right now. I have to draw strength from my spirit self. The memories are hurting the me the most, but it is well.

Thank you for your kind words. Happy Sunday!!! Have a great week!!!

Sorry to hear this dear. Time is a great healer. At least he just wants to stay now in his country not end the relationship. So just be understanding and their for him. Who knows he might have got horror stories from someone in US and got sacred. Or the reality of moving scares him. This is a major major move on his part. So have faith, be strong and flow with God. His timing isn;t our timing.

I actually have great respect for the beneficiary though I wished that he had been up front. Not everybody wants to come to the US, there are many African spouses of Africans that are living in Africa.

I myself had to promise my so of a trip back home yearly before considering relocating to the us.

Good luck to op.

I shall focus on another adventure in my life now by trying to get accepted into a doctoral program by Fall 2013. Give him his time to complete his task he wishes to accomplish for his life. If opportunity permits, I would move. I am so glad I found this VJ website because it truly has helped me on all aspects from the organizing of the documentation to the healing of the heart. I pray God's blessing over each of you. Take Care.
