Hi guys!

I need your help and advise!! It's been a year and a half that I submitted my i751 to get my permanent green card and still nothing. I have called the Uscis for updates and still tell me the same thing that us under review. What do I do?? Should I go to my congressman and seek help?? What good do I have by doing that?? Or should I just send my n400 to become a citizen event high my i751 has not been approved yet??

Please help me!!!

You can apply for citizenship without your I-751 being approved. This will often force USCIS to adjudicate your I-751 quickly.

First thing first, if you have NOT obtained an i551 extension, do it now or you might be in trouble.

Then get hold of your congressman.

Yes you can apply for N-400 while your ROC is still pending. I'm in the same situation and I already passed my N400 interview, awaiting my oath letter.

You gotta push them rather than let them push you around.

My wife is at work so she can't come with me. They just interview you and yourself only anyway.

Questions? Typical N-400 stuff. However you do need to bring some stuff that can prove your marriage is in good faith. Think your i-751 package, pick some important ones and get the updated ones, i.e. recent bills.

Oh and get your tax transcript. Those are critical and very important. You can get them for free from IRS.
