I signed, but as a Canadian, I am not sure how much weight it carries. I am the Non-UC waiting in Canada for a visa so I can live with my husband permanently in the USA.

I don't understand why the Texas and Nebraska service centers aren't doing certain application types anymore. Probably due to downsizing or some #######... You would think in this economy that the government would jump at a chance to create jobs and hire some more people to work at these other two service centers to help with the backlog!

The other change that would be nice, would be to allow family members to come to the USA and live with their spouses/family members while they are waiting for the visa approval. Some kind of extended visitors visa or special visa to be present in the US legally. Canada allows intending immigrants (spouses at least) to come to the country immediately. They can't work until they get their permanent residency but at least they can be with their loved ones.

Sigh...
