Hi I need help your help please. Waited long tome for NOA2 approval and don't ever just want to sit and wait like that again. Got answers for amost all things on this site by doing a search for prior post and answers but I am trying to make sure that we get the quickest appointment for a K1 interview for Nigeria. Tracked our DHL package sent by NVC to the embassy and as of 02/27 it says the delevery attempted but Embassy closed. Once package is received by embassy what is the quickest way to get and interview date? I have already printed and sent to my fiance the documents that would need for Packet 3. So do I have to sit and wait for the Embassy to e-mail or mail him a date or can we possibly, e-mail, or call to schedule his interview date. Thanks in advance.

The embassy is very bad about not answering the phone or putting you on hold and not returning. Usually it takes them about a week after getting the package to enter it in the database. I would search the current K1's and see where they have their interviews scheduled. Way back when we went through the interview was near or just after the expiration on the NOA2 , but that was years ago.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I don't think you will be lucky calling them. when i went through the K1 process, i emailed them to ask about my interview date, and they replied me after 4 days, and my interview was 3days to the expiration date of my petition...... so try emailing them with your case number and ask if they have scheduled your interview. you might be lucky to get to have an early date.

good luck to you

Thank you winnie george - I called the embassy last week and was able to get through but they were not willing to help me by phone to correct in incorrect birth date on our application, they said to e-mail the request and so I did and was able to ger a reply the very next day. So I am going to take your advice and e-mail them to request an interview date. I feel good about the option. Have a great weekend everyone.

The Embassy only responds to emails. You could email them to find out if they have received your case. If so then you could fill out a Ds230 form scan it and download it and submit it to the embassy and then you will receive an interview. That is what worked for me.good luck
