Hi to everyone, I tried my best to find an answer to my question, :( :( but due to some problems, I am having a hard time to concentrate. My question is....what type of forms do we need to file for my case, since we are living as husband and wife for almost 6 years here in the Philippines, and got married last July 6. My husband (a retired military)is here with me right now. He's been coming back and forth for so many times and we are planning to file the I-130 (although he was mentioning about the IR-1 or CR-1) which makes me more confuse. The problem was he was hospitalized for having swollen leg. And I want to help him so I can prepare things that we will need until he was totally fine. He also need to go back to US for aortic operation and he want me to be there.

I really appreciate your help. And also I want to thanks CCDC4ever and Che for the info about CFO. May God bless you all for having a good heart in helping people like me :).

Hope to hear from you guys. And again THANK YOU and GOD BLESS!!!

Hey Zoe, this is the link to the IR-1/CR-1 guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1 You can find this guide under 'Guides' at the top of the page under the Visa Journey title.

This is the Wiki to help you understand what the IR-1/CR-1 visas are and the differences between the two: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/IR1_and_CR1_Immigrant_Visas

You are on the right track. If you are already married, you will file for a IR-1 or CR-1 depending on your circumstances. I-130 is just a number given to the petition form that you will need to fill out. Most forms will carry a number identification. Here is a list of common abbreviations and form numbers you are likely to see come up time and again here and on your journey: http://www.visajourney.com/content/us-immigration-abbreviations

Hope this helps in getting you on track! God bless!
