I won't trust you, sorry. It's simply not true. In a world where everyone has a disposable income, that might be true. That isn't this world.

Why can't polling stations have a list of SSN's eligible for voting, as each person votes the SSN is crossed off (via computer obviously). Everyone knows their SSN, right?

There is a whole lot of help out there for low-income people. I help them get it, it's my job. I have a complete understanding of what it's like to not have $5 to spare. And yet, they all get IDs. Every single one of them. You sort of need it for life in general.

A list of SSN's would be awesome, if not for identity theft. I don't really want my SSN in the hands of a poll place worker, do you?

Gunnery Sergeant: Holy dog sh!t! Texas? Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy, and you don't look much like a steer to me, so that kinda narrows it down. Do you suck dicks?

What about the documents required to get the ID? They aren't covered here. You need an ID to get a birth certificate and a birth certificate to get an ID.

birth cert replacement can be had by legitimate citizens quite easily.

i got a notice today from Texas DPS saying I have to pay $25 to renew my license.

I have to prove one of the below as proof:

SSN card (good idea)

Health Card (not sure what that is.)

Pilot's license (not good since that was revoked... long story)

Military ID. ( They didn't want me. See Pilots license)

Peace officer TCLEOSE DD-214. (No idea what that means)

Medicaid/Medicare Card

College transcript

VA card with SSN#

If someone in this country is getting benefits, I don't care how old they are, an SS card is acceptable in Texas for ID.

You can click on the 'X' to the right to ignore this signature.

Read the post, no it can't... Did you read the first word and think of a pointless reply straight away? I don't know why I bother reading your posts.

Still spouting the same misinformation.

I'm not sure why you continue on with the same old, lame, rhetoric(excuses)ie: heat, distance, old, time off of work, blah, blah, blah. There's a solution to every obstacle. Remember we don't come out of the womb holding ID's. So, EVERYONE didn't have an ID, before they had an ID. Figure it out!

OR two forms of identification from the following list:

Social Security CardUtility Bill (showing address) ■ Medicaid Card

Snap/EBT card (showing address) ■ Work Identification ■ Veteran Universal Access ID Card

http://msdh.ms.gov/phs/forms/Form%20522E_20110318.pdf

After this, you're home free to getting a photo ID. Unless you're surrounded by rocks in Mississippi, who claims the heat is worse, the distance is longer, the work hours are longer, and, and, and, etc, etc.

On a side note, wouldn't if the justice department instead of litigating this and wasting money fighting these voter ID laws, put the money to use and help the few people who are affected with these to come into compliance with the law. I mean it may even help them get out of poverty, they'll have a photo ID which will give them the ability to fly to another state which may provide for more opportunities at success.

Are you going to pay for the birth certificate so that they can vote? I wasn't aware the poll tax had been re-introduced.

Clearly you live in a fantasy world. Yes, people who can't afford a car and don't have the money for birth certificates can fly to other states.

You must have missed the thread about the ATM usage of SNAP/EBT cards on cruise ships....
