Last tidbits before sending I-129F Package

Ok so I'm hoping to send it off Monday or Tuesday. Im just going to list a few remaining questions that I have.

1) I'm confused about the N/A and none for the I-129F. I basically put N/A for anything that doesn't apply to me or her, and none for sectionss like, "List all children..". Sometimes it's obvious which to use and other times not so much. Also, I have literally filled out every blank with either the information needed or N/A or none. Even the arrival/departure record number under question 12 (if your fiance is currently in the U.S.), I put '-" in each blank. Is this necessary? If it can't hurt I'll just leave it all as is.

2. I have been living with my fiance in Spain for a year. I have tons of evidence like photos, receipts from stores, a copy of my phone contract here, a copy of my gym membership contract, bank receipts showing I paid 300 euro a month to her bank account for rent, boarding pass from when I arrived, our photo ID's from our gym....basically a ton of stuff that shows we are a real couple. Should I send ALL that I have? The more the better? Also, copies or originals?

3) My birth certificate is a photo copy...will that be sufficient for the I-129F? Also, my BC has a couple of registration type numbers and a couple of dates (when it arrived at the registrar, and the date that the doctor actually signed it)...How nitpicky are they? I'm making my best guess as to which date and which document ID number to use, but I just don't want ANY RFE's...like anyone else, I want to do it right the first time and hopefully make things go faster.

4) on the G-325a, my current address and permanent address is my house in the States, and it has been the same house since I was a born. I have lived in various houses in college and whatnot (all more than 5 years ago)....do I put my current address as from the day of my birth until present? Also, I JUST got home from living in Spain for a year, will it matter in a negative way that I just came home? I mean Should I put my current address as "2 days ago to present"? or...as I said before? Any clarification would be great

5) also on the G-325a, I haven't had a job in 5 years. I've been a full time student and volunteer, but it looks awful to leave that blank...not really anything I can do about it, but will that hurt us? I'm planning on having my dad co sign my affidavit of support if I haven't landed a job by the time it's necessary. I'm guessing Im not the only person to fall in love while abroad as a student or volunteer, and come back home with no job yet. Hopefully it's not a big deal but any words of encouragement would be great haha.

Thanks for anyone who can shed some light and help me out...also any other last minute tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Andrew and Angelica

1) To make it easier just follow examples from "Example Forms" Most answers are none like for kids, suppose. I think it is not really big deal if you put N/A instead of none. In I-129F instruction says. If the answer is none write "None". So if you think what would answer better? "How many kids do you have?" will you answer "Not available" or "None"

2) You applying for fiancé K1 visa. I think sending photos and other evidence that you live there is enough. The receipts from credit card would go toward proving that you meet in face to face. (If you plan to apply CR1 visa then you would need send more stuff) Send copies and keep original for interview if they will ask.

3) Just to be safe send copy of passport with all pages and send copy of birth certificate. If USCIS did not like the birth certificate they will accept the copy of the passport and visa versa.

4) Just put down where you live last 5 years that ask on the form itself. So you will have to list that you live in Spain for a year. On form you can not say 2 days ago to present. Just put month and a year when you return to your home (like 08/2012)

5) If you was a student you just say Unemployed. It will not hurt but just look little bit ahead that once you apply later you will need send a I-134 where you will need send some information how much you make. If there not enough money you will need fine a sponsor as well.

Here is the link to the guide to help you. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide. It will give you form examples and checklists.

Some of the items you mentioned, I don't believe it is necessary to send. Also, make sure you copy the entire BC front and back, all the info you stated is needed for proof.

Although you are unemployed on G 325, that is what yu put and the dates, or full time student and the dates, leave nothing blank.

Were you born in the US? If you are using a US birth certificate, there is no need to list document ID# anywhere on the I-129F. See the example form: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-129F.pdf

Ok thanks everyone for the replies...

one other question (for now haha): For her name, do I put in the accent marks? Also, she has 4 names, for example...Maria Carolina Fernandez Garcia....she goes by Carolina Fernandez, and I've been going by "" in the LAST name, First name, Middle name format....should I be putting FERNANDEZ GARCIA as her last name? ALSO, her work history, obviously the names are in Spanish, such as "Farmacia de so and so"....under job description I put it in English for her, but will I need to have this translated now??

Yeah but what I mean is, over the last 5 years I've lived in only one house, with the exception of my year here in Spain. When I send off the I-129F, I'll have been back in my house for all of maybe 2 days....So, do I put,

"123 Easy St. 08/12- Present"

"5 Spain Ave. 07/11-07/12"

"123 Easy St. 12/83-07/11" ?

List both her last names in the surname/last name areas. That is how we did it for my husband on all forms. Sometimes we left 2 spaces between the two last names to make sure they knew the names were separate names, not run together and not hyphenated.

No need to translate the work places and addresses. We needed to use a supplement sheet for some addresses because the Mexican addresses in Spanish would not fit in the space provided on the forms. It was fine for us that way.

It look OK except look odd from 07 then 08 but on other hand it is understandable due that you fly out on last month and last day of that month. Did you left Spain on 7th month or it was 8th month? If it was 8th month I would put 07/11 - 08/12 but then again I think it should be OK as is.

Good point... most of the Spanish addresses didn't fit on our petition either (or subsequent forms...) so I handwrite them all really neat!

wow thanks guys! Yeah, I was so frustrated because we waited to the last minute and found out that the spaces were just way to small for all the Spanish addresses. So glad we weren't the only ones. What is the best way to use a supplement sheet? Even her name is kinda long...to I put 'see attached" for every blank that isn't big enough? Should the supplement sheet be typed or does it matter? I think we are handwriting the actual form, how is the best way to do it. Should I make a special note of the supplement sheet in my Table of Contents?

Again thanks a lot! I am doing this all myself basically, so I can be very daunting! Even the smallest doubts like, using accents (tildes) on the letters or not, etc...haha

Yes, an additional sheet. Write "see attached", then on the attached piece of paper, write which question you're referring to, a la "Supplement to Form i-129f, question 18" (which is probably the most common one to add an explaination to when it can't fit into the box).

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

I almost forgot - do yourself the favor of signing and put a date on each sheet/supplement that you attached.

Thank you all so much!

Is it ok to fill the form out by hand, but type the supplement? I hand wrote that, but it looked a little untidy, wasn't sure how to structure it neatly.

Also, the only parts that I have enough room are the residences and employers. I do have room for the City, State, Country under residence, and also room for her job description. What I'm planning on doing is just making a supplement page, and ONLY putting the street address and number. On the form, I wrote "see attached" under that part, but continued to fill out Madrid, Spain, etc on the form. Is this ok? If the idea is just to have a clearly legible and understandable form and supplement, then I think it should be ok. However, if they are extreme sticklers, and it all has to be just so, I'd rather do it right once, instead of half assed.

ALSO, I barely squeezed in her second last name on the top of the Form. It's legible if you look closely, but of course Im worried about it! haha. Her second last name is very clear at the bottom and on the supplement page. Will it be fine?

Any fast responses will be GREATLY appreciated. Everything else is ready to go, just waiting on this :)
