That's adorbs! It is a freaky flag then.

I am a greater believer in letting people hoist themselves on their own petards. It leads to even greater levels of schadenfreude, and that is my absolutely favourite flavour of freude.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

That isn't the real issue at hand. Personally, I think the mayors are just being pompous fools pontificating for political show. The real issue is whether exposure of Cathy's comments and the fallout thereof are justifiable reasons for there to be a call for a boycott. Are you against customers voting with their feet?

Of course not. But you did have city politicians stating they would try to ban Chick-fil-A. That actually happened, and it is a bigger issue than customers boycotting a restaurant they don't like. I'm not sure I understand the whole thing anyway. Is this restaurant saying they don't want gays inside the restaurant, or is this all about the owner's personal beliefs?

It actually isn't a bigger issue, because the likelihood that a ban will come into place is pretty low. Such a ban would need council approval, and would be subject to legal challenge. It's grandstanding.

What is more effective (for both sides of the argument) is to get this out in the open. The restaurant founder hasn't said CFA is anti-gay, but that the organisation does not support gay marriage. If marriage equality is important to you, you might not want to support the chain. Or if you support heterosexual marriage only, you might want to give them more business. More info, more choice.

Or CHOICE! as Gary might say.

Oh maybe! My first thought was maybe he choked on a #######.

If he did it was because one of those militant Lesbian chicks were using one of these on him trying to extract the secret recipe while they had him strapped to a chair.
