Don Perry, head spokesman for Chick-fil-A, has died.

The Atlanta-based company said Perry died "suddenly" Friday morning. Perry, who most recently was vice president of public relations, had worked with the chain for nearly 29 years, according to Chick-fil-A.

“He was a well-respected and well-liked media executive in the Atlanta and University of Georgia communities, and we will all miss him,” the company said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.”

Local news outlets reported that Perry suffered a heart attack.

A spokesman with a third-party public relations company working with Chick-fil-A said he could not confirm the heart attack reports.

Homosexuals threatening to boycott chick a fil A for their beliefs, yet notice how they aren't boycotting oil from OPEC nations? These are the same countries that execute homosexuals for being homosexual.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

That's a pretty good point.

Okay, let me get this straight....

Free market forces that drive up gun purchases after mass theatre shootings -- GOOD.

Free market forces that cost right-wing bigots customers due to public awareness of their rabid anti-gayness -- BAD.

Private Christian owned business that voices their opinion on homosexuality = BAD ???? (even though the Bible is clear on that subject)

Purchasing gasoline made from OPEC crude oil where homosexuals are EXECUTED = GOOD ????

Yay! It's VJ Seminary time (Homosexual Edition) again with Bad_Daddy! Tell us again about the Official Rulebook for Christians®.

Psst -- I think Chick-Fil-A should be free to let their freaky anti-homosexual flag fly and let individuals make their own minds up on whether or not to eat there. That's the beauty of the free market!

"Free Market forces"? I thought the issue here was that certain city's public officials were trying to ban the restaurants from opening up fanchises in their cities. That doesn't sound like anything near Free Market Forces.

If this was the case, why did Chick-Fil-A lie and release a statement saying the Jim Henson toys were being withdrawn because of safety issues? Anyone who reads the news knows that the Jim Henson foundation pulled the toys before this fake announcement. Shouldn't they be standing by their values rather than lying? That isn't very Christian of them.

That isn't the real issue at hand. Personally, I think the mayors are just being pompous fools pontificating for political show. The real issue is whether exposure of Cathy's comments and the fallout thereof are justifiable reasons for there to be a call for a boycott. Are you against customers voting with their feet?
