If someone spat on me, hmmmmm! Right cross then a left hook! or no no that wouldnt be right! how

about running away crying!

Steve what would you do if someone spat on Jinky?

There's a difference between what we'd like to do and what is within our legal right to do. If it were a child who spat in your face, then what? What about an old woman? Young woman? If you think about it, you'd be already deciding whether it would be appropriate or not to punch them in the face. What if it was a 6'4", 240 lb linebacker? It's easy in the comfort ones computer to say what they'd do but in real life, things are very different.

My point is that retaliation is never simple. Better to walk away than get into a predicament legally and possibly physically than trying to protect your ego.

Really? I'd say baseball bat the old lady, spit on the kid and run away from the line backer :P

If it were a child that spit (spat or sput?) on me: Find his parent(s). If I cannot then I would give him a very heart to heart talking too. He or she would definately be listening.

An old lady: I dont know. I would spare her the boot in the mouth. give her an "your an idiot look", and walk away.

Young woman: I still dont hit girls so then I would dodge the next barrage of saliva and run.

240 pound linebacker: I hope he has his helmit on because the boot is coming

Yes, things in real life are very different.

If a certain child spat on you, something tells me that I don't think it would be the sort of kid who would actually listen to a word you said...you'd more likely get a barrage of abuse and the finger. Or worse.

Stina, please don't "roll your eyes" at those of us who are pro-choice. As you well know, in order for there to be death there must first be life, and the debate about where life begins goes beyond you and I, beyond the internet, beyond science. (F)

I don't believe there is a standard of "reasonable doubt" for the death penalty - to me, it's got to be 100% sure or life in prison. However, I don't oppose the death penalty (so I am at least consistant in my beliefs :P ). As for whether it hurts or not - I don't care all that much. If someone has done something heinous enough to be condemned to death, I'm not bothered. Maybe that makes me a callous, unfeeling person. I'll deal with it.

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

The guy was trafficing Heroin. The law is clear and he broke it. It is sad and I do not think the punishment fit the crime but that is their law. If it were my son or daughter that did this I would spend every dime I had to try to get him out also but he got caught and he paid the ultimate price unfortunately.

They have this law for a reason. They are dead serious about drugs in their country. Drugs by the way destroy many peoples lives and I feel tht drug dealers also in their own way sentence people to a ruined life including death.

Does the punishment fit the crime? Did that man deserve to die? Answer those questions using American statndards & get back to me.

Like I said, No, he did not deserve to die per American standards, Like I said if it were my child I would be fighting for his life (then I would kill him when he got home), But he got busted in Singapore, not US so we are not talking about the plea bargaining USA. The same country where they cained a kid for Graffiti ( I think). They do not have a grafitti problem either. If I were a drug dealer I would never enter that country knowing I could get killed for it. Some countries dont bend the rules or give leniency. Same with DWI, You could end up dead in some countries if you Drink / drive.
