Hi everyone. I have a couple more questions and you have all been so great about answering my questions about my upcoming trip to Morocco.

1. Did you need much money with you on the trip. I am staying 5 weeks but am staying with his family so don't have to pay for hotel.

2. Obviously I am not taking 5 weeks worth of clothes so I will have to wash the ones I have. Did any of you have to do that while staying with family and did that work out ok?

3. If your plane was late and missed your connecting flight to Morocco what happens? I am flying on Iberia and I only have 2 1/2 hours wait time between arriving in Madrid and leaving for Casablanca.

I'm sure these questions are very minor but just something I wanted to try to figure out.

Thank you again.

I took money for souvenirs with me as I also stayed with my husband's family and didn't have any lodging, meal or travel expenses within Egypt. I can't remember how much I took though. Most major cities have ATMs in case you don't bring enough.

My sister in laws washed my clothes for me but I did take quite a bit of clothing. Not a month's worth, however. I did take a month's worth of underwear as I wasn't going to have anyone wash those for me.

I have no idea about missing a connecting flight as that didn't happen to me either time I visited Egypt.

"The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

I didn't need any money on first trip, as future husband paid for everything. I did bring money to buy gifts for friends and family and things I wanted to take home for myself, but didn't need it. I'd bring that kind of money if I were you, just in case.

Took enough clothes but on subsequent trips his mother washed anything I needed washed.

I took a direct flight the first time, so it wasn't an issue about planes.

Get your international cell phone plan turned on so if there's a problem in Spain you can text him. On subsequent trips when I flew into Spain or Paris, I was able to text in the airport.

Things are a lot less expensive in Morocco than in the USA in general, which is great. Some wonderful tips I heard were to bring lots of Wet Wipes type moistened towlettes, and plenty of ziploc sandwich baggies for taking fresh wipes with you, and disposing of used ones. Many Moroccan homes don't have a traditional toilette, but rather a hole in the ground and no toilet paper to be found!

I didn't take much money with me. Instead I used ATM's as someone else mentioned with no problem, but I did have to speak with customer service at my bank (B of A) and tell them I'd be traveling to Morocco between such-and-such dates, and to please ensure my account would be "ok'd" for using ATM's with my BofA card while traveling ... I've had 2 1/2 hour connections too, mid-journey, and so far so good.... I don't have advice if you miss connecting flight. anyone???

Washing - my fiance's family has a washing machine that's a little tedious/labor-intensive compared to ours. They have to hook it up to the kitchen sink and manually bail out the water at the end of the cycle, I think it was. Then hang clothing outside on a line to dry.

Have a wonderful time!

Thanks again for all the wonderful tips. I have learned so much from you guys. I used to just read on here for a long time before I started planning my visit. Now I'm full of questions and very nervous. My nervousness is just about the trip in general since I have not flown before and also being in a different country/different culture. And I worry whether his family will like me although he says not to worry. I'm living with them so if they don't like me it could feel uncomfortable for everyone. But I am dealing with all of the anxiety because the reason I am doing this is to finally meet this man that I spend hours talking to every day and that I love so much.
