I read in another post that I may need original copies of my pay stubs I can go on line and print out my paystubs but our company does not issue checks anymore only direct deposit and paycards. So I dont have any original copy of paystubs to submit. Will they accept the printed copy with this explanation. Also I am in the process of name change but I dont know if I will have time prior to my trip to get my passport changed but I really dont want to put off getting everything else changed much longer. I know that some people said to carry you marriage license but my timing of this trip is making that a little difficult since I need to send the original (I think) to NVC with the documents to be sent to the embassy. If that is the case will a copy of my marriage license work and will it have to be certified copy? My last question is I am waiting for my case number at NVC they said that it takes 10 to 20 business days to get it after it is recieved it was recieved July 9th. So I am wondering if we get everything paid and submitted if anyone thinks we might get an interview by the end of Sept. I am going to be there for 2 weeks the last week of Sept 1st week of Oct and would love to be there for his interview. I just didnt know the current time between NVC and interview for Lagos. Thanks again everyone for your help.

Hello...I am not sure about the pay stubs, but when my husband and I sent his visa application, we had to either send original marriage certificate or certified copy. I refused to send original, so when I was there last year, end of Sept and beginning of Oct...haha...same time you will be there this year, we went to the court and got a certified copy of it. I am not sure how much my husband paid for it though. As far as how long it will take for interview, that all depends and varies. We sent the last documents to NVC, which was his visa application and all supporting documents, on October 5 and his interview was December 12.

Good luck and put it all in God's hands.

When your husband goes get police report tell him to stop off at registry and get another marriage certificate. So you keep your original. The paycheck is not what they want that pay stub the stuff that has year to date pay and all is sufficient.

The 20 days forget that. You call everyday until you get case#. Seems most July 9th rceived folk have case#'s so do call everyday.

Now the million dollar question. I see most embassies seem to be also in a logjam like NVC. But Lagos I don't know some waiting 2 to 3 months some slide in who knows. It's all dependent on when you finish at NVC. Since you have yet to get case# and the time they are taking between case#, AOS and IV Bill may be another 4 weeks.

Wish you all the best. I was approved June 6th and they still have yet to recive my case at NVC. Really bummed. But at least whenever that interview is I'll be there.

Thanks for the info so it doesnt look like I will be there for the interview. I have been following behind you in your journey so they need to get you your number quickly so I can continue to know what to expect by following your process. I have been calling they have been really nice but it just has not been entered in the system yet. As for pay stubs everything is on line we dont even get a stub we went paper free that is why I was wondering about the copy... Do you have any idea how much a certified copy of the marriage license is? Thanks again...

By end of next week I should be waiting for a case#. Found out today my case is still sitting at the CSC. It has been requested to be immediately sent to NVC now I wait.

No I have no idea what a marriage certificate cost sorry. The pay stubs I don't know if its copies or orginals I really don't know. In this age of direct deposit don't they know most have stuff on line. Call and ask NVC.

And I am trying to catch up to ya'll naw o. Ya'll going so fast. I can see setpember october and november will be busy for us. Thank God.
