Is it normal that the interview date is taking this long to be scheduled?

Case was complete on the 2nd of July 2012. My wife called the NVC today and they told here they would be scheduling the appointments in the end of August for interview dates in October. #######? :bonk:

hi we got our approval in nvc lst may 23 too and my interview is august 16..when i call for appointment there is no earlier sched but 3rd week of august lol.. sad :(

Wow, that's crazy!

We are still waiting for our case to be completed at NVC but were hoping for an interview date in September.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for everyone that it's just false information. Good luck.

The advice usually given on VJ is to keep calling daily to find out.

12/28/11 - I-130 Sent

12/30/11 - NOA1 Received

06/08/12 - NOA2 Received

NVC:

07/02/12 - Case arrived at NVC

07/12/12 - Received case #, IIN, and BIN, gave e-mail addresses

07/13/12 - E-mailed DS-3032 from Beneficiary's e-mail address

07/23/12 - AOS bill invoiced & PAID

07/24/12 - DS-3032 accepted, IV bill invoiced & PAID

07/25/12 - AOS bill appears as PAID, IV bill appears as PAID, AOS Package sent, IV Package sent

07/26/12 - AOS and IV Packages delivered to NVC

08/01/12 - AOS/I-864 accepted, Checklist Issued for DS-230

08/13/12 - Responded to Checklist

08/20/12 - IV accepted, Case Complete

09/14/12 - Interview date Assigned (Interview Date: 10/04/12)

Remember the fact that NVC does not have any control over foreign consulate schedule until they are given available slots by foreign consulate to fill them out.

So NVC will never be able to commit any time frame on this. You just have to wait and call them regularly to find out any updates. But they will also send an email once interview date is scheduled. :thumbs:
