I use an iPad. I can quote without any problems.

In Safari/Firefox I don't see the option to 'quote'. I can either reply or multiquote. The posts which you see corrupted are a result of a 'reply' to another post.

I have no problem on Firefox. When I hit "reply", it automatically quotes what I'm replying to.

Me either and that's the only way I can quote. For some reason it only looks funky when I reply using the iPad.

not had any problems with safari ... or the ipad.

open the other post (hit reply) and copy the entire message (include the [ quote name ......] and [ /quote] ... exit the reply ... then open with multi-quote, paste in the copied info and you will have be good to go.

I may try that, although it is simpler to remove the time stamp altogether. However I don't see what the problem is because the quoted text remains untouched.

I may try that...

you must have the beginning and end quote of the message (you can see that when you reply).

try it and hit "preview post" to see how it looks before committing the reply to the interwebz

you can also delete or add text (edit) the initial message contained between the words [ quote ... ] and [/ quote]
