I met Nadya in Cabo San Lucas about two months ago. I was on a bachelor party and I met her on the first day I was there. We hit it off so well that I found myself spending all my time with her and enjoyed every minute. She currently works there and we are the same age. I went back two weeks after my vacation to see her again. We talk every day on Skype and I want her to visit me. She is hesitant to go through the process. She once got turned down traveling to Europe because she wasn't going to stay in the city but just outside. (She was visiting friends) She has traveled to many different countries but never the US. I am new to the process of how to obtain a Visa for her. She would be traveling from Mexico and staying with me in Texas. She will have to go back for her contract at the resort she works at. I need help in what to do!!

Welcome!

It will be difficult for her, a young, single Russian, to get a tourist visa but if she has the funds, no harm trying. Even if she gets denied, it will not affect future visas you may petition for if things get more serious, as long as she doesn't lie.

That is what I was thinking she is 30 I am 29. I heard that it could be difficult and yes she does have the funds. Thank you for your reply.

It is difficult but not impossible. It would help if she can show evidence of being a legal resident in Mexico, a contract with her current employer and other documentation showing ties with that country.

Good luck!

She has a work visa in Mexico and a contract that shows she has to come back to work. So this makes me think it is very difficult and a terrible process?

There is no way of telling.

At her age and circumstance, she is in the group of those deemed as a risk insofar as immigration is concerned. However, it is also true that many in the same situation as herself do come in as tourists every day and return to their country as required.

What she needs to bear in mind is that the burden of proving she will not stay in the US falls solely on her shoulders. It is obvious she cant prove she will not stay, so her job is to produce evidence and convince the interviewing officer that she is not planning to stay in the US and has every intention to return to Mexico.

In other words, she needs to try and apply for a visa, bring all the documents she has and hope she sounds sincere enough to be granted one.
