You have a canadian flag on your profile, are you not aware of the laws and what can be considered hate-speach in that country or what the penalties for that are for speaking out or disagreeing with Gay marriage or Homosexual relations?

I have a Canadian flag on my profile too, but I'm a US born citizen.

FYI, I don't believe in hate speech laws. I believe that every person should be allowed to say what they want no matter who they offend. No one has the right to go through life without being "offended." Sometimes change can only come from spouting "offensive" ideas.

As a US citizen, I'm passionate about my right to free speech. I wish more people shared that passion. We're far too willing to give it up. But that's a different soapbox...

Who are you to decide what two people can decide for their lives?

Don't take an easy dodge, answer the question.

Are you standing on principle or not?

Who are you to take prohibitions based on a Christian order to impose restrictions on others>?

Who are you to tell the Bi-sexual person they must choose one or the other?

WHAT?!

Actually I was right on target. There were countries that would hang you if you disagreed or challenged the notion that the Earth was not the center of the universe.

We are talking about the same thing.

When you can't move your argument forward.... you go back 5 centuries and move laterally.

Thats the depth of response we typically see when the harder questions are asked.... when you are required to follow your own logic to it's conclusion.

You didn't ask me a difficult question. You asked me a series of ridiculous ones.

You've yet to answer the most important question someone's asked you. Why should gay people not be allowed to get married? Give a valid reason.

This has nothing to do with logic or principles. It has to do with shifts in the culture. Laws will always keep up with them, albeit delayed.

Hypocrite. Marriage can either be Biblical or you have to let me marry my Chia Pet. There can be no middle ground!!!

Animals have no basis for such standing in law, I didn't make the suggestion and if that is all you have to work with I think my point was well made.

SO is it possible anyone who limits marriage to just two people or who would prevent any two adults from marriage is in fact -in the wrong?

The answer is so obvious.

-natural law prevents it as a basis of family formation.

-World history and thousands of years of successful western history have demonstrated which model produces the best results for a sane stable society.

My argument has always been based on equality. Gay people have equal rights to straight people.

If two straight people can get married, then two gay people should be able to get married.

Is that not logical to you?

So if a marriage cannot form a family, it is not recognized?

Plenty of countries allow it and they're doing just fine.
