Having watched the opening ceremony last night, I think we can give this one to Boris

It must really suck to be made to look a fool by Britain's favourite clown.

You were impressed by that lame socialist propaganda? I think the Beijing opening ceremony blew that amateurish ####### away by one thousand fold. There was some nice pyro at the end, but overall, it was a poor excuse for selling the one world agenda.

So, you prefer an opening ceremony glorifying Communism, totalitarian brutality, regional expansionism and economic injustice over the one that London put on last night?

You're funny.

All I've heard so far about Romney's comments from the socialist media machine is that Mitt made a major gaffe by having the nerve to question whether the Brits were ready to host the games. By everything I've read and heard the last few weeks by the same socialist media leading up to the games, Romney had every right to question the Brits ability to host the games. Why is it that when a Republican echoes the very same sentiments that the liberals have been saying for weeks, that all of a sudden it's wrong? You lefty's are a strange breed.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Clearly you just heard what you wanted to hear, as usual. By the way, The Telegraph is a Conservative newspaper. Not sure where your "Socialist Media Machine" ####### is coming from, but it is unfounded, as usual.

For sure pageantry, hands down. The underlying message was not all that different in either case, the inferiority of the individual to determine his own destiny, except one promoted nationalism and the other promoted a world-wide political agenda. I will let you determine which was which.

I thought the opening ceremony was awesome apart from the ANNOYING commentators who talked all over the music. :bonk:

I think London knocked Romney out of the ball park literally. The opening ceremony was British in every sense. It was done in very good taste, lots of humor, and it was all about those things that are British and which we all share the world over. It had great flow, it was not all about Britain, so much as it was a celebration by Britain to the athletes of the world.

I am not a fan of the Queen, but I have to give it to her on her participation in the Bond skit. HRM was one cool Bond girl, albeit being well over the regular age of all others.

What a true world class spectacular show. London was home for me at some point and it was great to rekindle that connection last night.

Now, to the competition. GO TEAM USA!!!!!

The Telegraph, The Daily Mail and the entire Murdoch operation in Britain (Sky, Times, Sun).

Yep, they are all socialists.

Bohemian Grove is right down the road from here. There is an occasional commie appeaser outsider the gate, and the rare one working for the resort. I doubt you would see one staying as a guest on a regular basis, although even the locals can't tell you everything that goes on behind those gates. From an acquaintance that worked there, she said there is very little interaction between guests and staff, especially the female staff, and most of the Grove is off limits even to the staff. She said it seems to be about men getting silly and pissing on trees.
