I am extremely happy that the NVC has forwarded the information to the Embassy. Was searching the site for US Embassy in Jamaica and noticed that I could set an appointment there for an interview for a small fee of $13 US. Should I do that or should I just wait for them to send me an appointment? I have the information for a doctor who does the medical exams and its not far from where he lives. I just want to speed things along. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I went back and looked over that information again and I dont think you can set the appointment for a K1 Visa. It is for certain nonimmigrant visas and you would have to reside in Ja. Im sorry if I posted something that is misleading.

the $13 is for non-immigrant visa interview. it does not apply in you case. you also have to wait until you get the appointment letter before you can do the medical because you have to take the letter with you to the doctor on the day of the medical.
